My husband and I have recently moved from Perth to Canberra. I was looking for a job that I was compactable in and had many years of experience in.
My day included:
paper work/ filing
stock in and out
rostering the staff where they will be working in the store
eg- front of house, shoe department
lunch cover rosters
end of day closing
Every new job has new skills, improving customer service, also different ways of managing staff and the day.
working with co- workers when you are new is always a new challenge, I had to make sure that there was a strong line of commination and respect on each level.
There are many good and bad points with this role and I have learned skills and different techniques that I can use in the future.
