North facing.
Sales / Technical support (Former Employee) –  Tempe, AZ17 September 2019
I worked for GoDaddy for almost 3 years. About 7 months ago this company made agents watch a video about how the company has been allowing the agents to "south face" using a terrible analogy of Mt. Everest. Basically saying our jobs have been too easy and we would be going North face (the side most people die trying to climb) 2nd qt of the year and moving forward. Came in to GoDaddy and was stuck on a 3rd shift team for over a year regardless of having great meatrics. In the time working there GoDaddy cut bonus anyway they could. Started with a $600 day goal total revenue. Switched to only new rev counting with a goal of $400 a day. Less than 2 years later that goal became $900 a day. Cut % paid out on products.

GoDaddy had some of the Greatest Perks around!
Customer Care Development (Former Employee) –  Gilbert, AZ9 September 2019
Awesome competitions and parties! The work environment is very casual. My Supervisor was a butt-head but other than that it was an awesome place to work. I would definitely recommend GoDaddy to any prospective employee.

Drowning in tedious work
Content Writer/Creative Specialist (Current Employee) –  Austin, TX28 August 2019
Low pay, but you're basically a post grunt. No real room to be creative, and it's not like you have the time to do so anyways. Huge work load. Boring work. Tedious work. Very low level, entry type of position. It's basically a place for hipsters to hang out.

You can make a ton of money
Inbound Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Tempe, AZ26 August 2019
If you're actually willing to do the bare minimum of what they ask you sales wise, you'll make a ton of money. Literally, just ask the customer a few things about their business, tie it to a product, and make an offer. Anybody on here complaining that "they're so metric driven and only care about numbers" are probably people that couldn't sell anything and think that sales can't benefit a customer. A typical day would look like you taking about 30-45 calls depending on your call control if you're in inbound. I loved the leadership for the most part, they didn't feel like a "boss" but an actual leader. If you had a problem they'd usually help you unless they knew you could've probably figured it out on your own if you had used your resources. Lots of fun things like ping pong tables, putting greens, rock climbing, and my favorite was subsidized lunch. This is a great place to hone your sales skills and make a ton of money with great benefits. The only bad thing I could say about this place is they cater to the victim narrative too much. A lot of employees are overly-sensetive. If you make one wrong move they'll run to HR crying bloody murder. In my 3 years there I saw employees and supervisors alike get fired for next to nothing.

Not worth the free food
Sales Advisor (Former Employee) –  Nottingham, Nottinghamshire22 August 2019
Only apply if you have a lot of experience in cold calling (it’s not warm leads and existing customers like they tell you) you need to be very confident and strong willed! If you hit sales targets (nearly impossible) you can literally get away with murder. If you don’t they are very quick to pick fault. You aren’t allowed to sell your own way, very scripted pitch. You also have no job safely once a month if you do not hit your target you have one more change before you loose the job. There is also support for with staff and hr will not help, bullying is a big problem.

The job itself is entry level and can be a little tedious at times but overall it’s an amazing place to work and they promote from within so there’s plenty of room to move up

Too much stress, too little job security
Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Gilbert, AZ16 August 2019
The opportunities at GoDaddy are there, but the intentional job stress makes them difficult to obtain. Metrics are constantly changed on a whim and many are experimental in nature. Once those ill-conceived changes are thrown out, some employees have already found themselves fired, due to the unreasonable criteria involved. GoDaddy training rooms are ALWAYS filled to capacity to replace current employees.

Fun place to work if you don't have a family
Business Advisor (Current Employee) –  Gilbert, AZ16 August 2019
Great place to work if you are a single person, young or old. If you need time off or need to take vacation it's extremely difficult to get approval. Management is either really good or really bad. I worked in a dept where there was no supervisor at time and throughout the day the sup's go to "meetings", and it's pretty frequent. The culture when I started but over the years it has been more about making the company money and not about the employee. The people you work are great people. You can make a lot of money and they do allow overtime.

Poor Leadership is killing your workforce
SR. CARE SUPERVISOR (Former Employee) –  Gilbert, AZ14 August 2019
Godaddy has great benefits and your earning potential is high if you are willing to put in the effort. However, management runs the place like an exclusive club that weighs no merit on your actual performance. The way a majority of the operation managers run their business is a joke, most are fairly incompetent, inept and lack the ability to be fair minded or objective about their employees. Working hard in a leadership role there will not get you into a promoted position but catering to their narcissism will. I've witnessed Supervisor with failing teams get touted as the next greatest thing since sliced bread all because of their charm. I've seen managers lie on performance reviews, have it be brought up to their management and completely brushed off. I've seen the effects of double standards for males and females in a leadership role and the complete breakdown of basic communication skills between managers and their employees. There are a few amazing managers there who take the time to get to know their staff and bring the best out of them but they are too few and far between.

You will fall through the cracks and you will only have a sales position
Hosting Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  Gilbert, AZ 8523318 July 2019
Every department is sales, no matter what. I worked in hosting and was still required to sell. The sales goals are unrealistic, and high pressure. While I had 2 good managers, the rest were terrible. One was gored for sleeping with a lower ranking employee, the other couldn't be bothered to do his job. They use classroom training as a vetting process and you will have to learn everything from your coworkers. This is by design

Awesome company culture with amazing colleagues. If you can speak to people and really become knowledgeable of Godaddy's product catalog, there is opportunity to make a lot of money with this company. Also plenty of room for growth and career development here.

Awesome place to work
Benefits Analyst (Former Employee) –  Scottsdale, AZ12 July 2019
I only had the chance to work there for 3 months but in my three months I learned so much my manager. He was kind, patient, professional and personable. They give you work life balance and the snacks and lunches are wonderful. I’d go back to HR in a heart beat.

Account Executive/consultant (Former Employee) –  Gilbert, AZ11 July 2019
GoDaddy is a good place to work. Many different departments with many lateral moves as well as promotions available. 3-4 different offices locally but more globally along with companies that are third party as well. Good culture and a positive enviornment.

Outbound Sales Advisor (Former Employee) –  Nottingham10 July 2019
Management is really bad, they act like they know everything and act like there all it. They hate seeing people progress and they pick who they like. Non supportive and expect you to hit targets when they don’t even help you. Coaching is poor and they need people with confidence who are not insecure and put it on to you when they feel down or negative. Not motivational at all.

Colleagues are what get you through however there are people in here especially the girls who backstab you and talk behind your back. Trust me if you work here you want to make sure you keep urself to urself so many low life’s with no ambition who just like bringing you down. Especially when the top performers are doing well you just see people talk and hate on them and it’s on themselves to get there revenue in, pathetic.

Really good for incentives and pay and there is positive people there but only very few and they will drop you as so. As they can if they don’t like you.
Pros
Free drinks & snacks, incentives & Commissions
Cons
Management, Progression, Backstabbing & No respect or recognition for people who do well

A great place to work and grow!
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Austin, TX9 July 2019
Everything from training to being on the floor with the sales managers, was a great experience! The workplace was awesome! The hardest part of the job was having sit all the time. Get a Desk riser! The most enjoyable part was the floor managers, they worked so hard on sales and team spirit!

In C3 - good luck
Computer Nerd Sales (Former Employee) –  Hiawatha, IA30 June 2019
Vast difference between customer service and any other position. Move out of C3 as soon as you can or theyll drum up some reason to fire you and change expectations so they can find a way to not pay your bonus
Pros
Can make a good bonus
Cons
Which can be taken away easily
