management are lovely and the workplace culture is good for the most part

high staff turn overs, constantly losing staff for a huge variety of reasons Can be very stressful days, children get very overwhelming at times and can be quite challenging for some people. ALOT of time spent doing paperwork and cleaning.

Dollars/Numbers BEFORE the Well - Being of Children and employees

On your feet from the time you start to finish, no programming routine (always dependent on 'pot luck' numbers/operational requirements of the day - where are the casuals? You have to switch from on floor duties to programming with no notice. Have to share 'on line' programming equipment with the whole centre can be 4/5 of you sharing 1 ipad for daily communication, observations, learning stories with little to no opportunity to complete due to the daily, cleaning, gardening, children's individual routine/supervision ? educational requirements. Requirements for number, safety, cleaning duty checks also need to be done daily - monitored by head office. GS Falsely represents salary sacrificing opportunities as these are in fact only for those in the higher wage earning category ie: Another way the 'Fortunate' get richer and the mere floor staff get over worked and underpaid.

Fun

Fun working as a volunteer, don’t have to do too much and staff are usually friendly overall. Kids will be kids so your experience will revolve how well you are able to work with them.

Stay away from here, not a good place to work whatsoever

Worst job I've ever had. Went home every day upset/ with extreme anxiety. Pay was very little, lots of wage theft in my centre alone, overtime not paid property. I seriously can not stress enough that no one should ever work here, for your own mental health and wellbeing.

Underpaid and not appreciated

I worked for the company for 2 years and it was the worst experience I have had. They say they are not for profit but they are. The children do not come first, the money does. You have to follow up each pay as you are always missing pay, you only get paid overtime for every 15 mins and they'll try and send you home 10 mins over so they don't have to pay you. Under roofing is ridiculous, you could be on your own with 17 kindy kids but the ratio is under roofed to younger rooms or to the director. I still talk to former emoyees and nothing has changed even with the new director stepping in.
