Don’t work here. You will constantly get bullied from your so called work “friends” management is horrible. even the boss talks badly about staff. Very clicky groups. Constant anxiety. Very manipulative people to work with. Very bad energy, Every centre is different. But just be careful. The whole centre is just going down the drain to be honest. I have friends out of the workplace that have bought their kids to care and have said how rude and lazy staff are and that they wish they never bought them.
It was a pleasure to work for a professional business and professional educators each day . I can highly recommend this childcare to any parent and or prospective employer looking to work for a fantastic business which prides itself by providing excellence every day.

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
Never in new management did l have a flexiable work life balance....they made it difficult 4 me 2 meet home commitments...( newly single parent) and l had been with company 7 yrs...l had no option but 2 leave company as they were non accomodationing 4 my circumstances....however it does depend on directors and management
Not accomdomating for personal circumstances
The children are adorable which makes the job enjoyable. if you find the right centre that you think is a good centre for you then you will love your work. it can be challenging at times to gain extra hours of work can be challenging to get with relief ruler program. relief ruler us great if you can gain shift through it if you are sitting on your phone all day, but is horrible if you are always loosing shifts if our internet is slow at loading websites.
as relief staff member you can work at a varity of different centres and age groups
Relief ruler can be a pain in the bum to us...... resulting in loss of work
I was unfairly targeted and discriminated against while on placement. I was told about everything that was said and everything was a lie about me and was unfairly treated by my teachers because of it. Ended up leaving because I was unfairly treated
A typical day at work is always awesome, it's fun, the other educators are amazing & friendly people, we are really passionate about what we do at Goodstart, the children are just amazing, each & every one of them. I have learned so much about a lot of different things, i have learned a lot of knowledge through 'Mandatory Training', i now have a clearer knowledge of how the Centre's run, i have learned to communicate with families.
amazing work colleagues, non-profit organization, Goodstart put children first, rewarding job, over 600 Goodstart Centre's in Australia
Make sure the room is set up for the children to have a creative and happy day. Make sure everything is clean. Discuss with other workers how we can make the day a pleasant and educational experience for the the children and know our roles for the day. The children are the most important little humans that we can help them through their day and week. I absolutely love being part of that and watching them grow and understand life.
Watching the children grow
When the children leave to go to big school
interacting with the children everyday and planning different activities i learnt there is a lot more to the job then just playing with the children and that you have to plan different activities to do with the children
playing with children
I really enjoyed my time at goodstart I valued each and every child as unique and special I loved interacting with the children and learning as much from them as they did from me it enriched my life and made my job that much more rewarding I use to leave work knowing that i had made a difference in the life of a child and with a sense of acheivement
Every half hour since work starts all employees have a task that they have to fill before arrival of children. This allows time management practice and working together as a team. There is always on going training where needed for every individual employee. Where I was which is Good Start Kempsey management need a lot more training them selfs with time management and staff communication. Family orientated. When employing new staff the management feel that they should be perfectly knowing of job role without question no help form other staff on experience training. The incentives that are provided is the most enjoyable part.
I worked at several centres with goodstart. My first centre was Welshpool and I absolutely loved it there, the families were lovely and the children became my children I loved them all. The other centres were not so great I got several complaints from other workers for things I didn't do and I ended up having to leave because I felt inferior
