I was so excited to be given the opportunity to work in aged care without any formal training as training would be provided - never happened in the 2 years I worked for them. I loved the job loved the clients. Soon I realised that Hammond Care was all about their bottom line. They short change their employees on kms travelled and pass the buck when you question your pay, to date I’m owed $600 in unpayed kms with no one to give me a straight answer, now in the hands of fair work. They have an objective when they hire staff - hire desperate, meek and submissive caring women eager to be relevant and not make a fuss, when you question them or do wrong it’s the big stick approach, hopefully the royal commission will sort this bunch of crooks out.
