What is the interview process like?
Your interview is your time to showcase and demonstrate your experience, personal attributes and ability to (listen and) communicate. During your interview we will cover some of the following areas: o An introduction from the recruitment manager /hiring manager o Your current situation and interest in the position o Your work experience (be sure to highlight your experience specific to the responsibilities and requirements of the role) o Behavioural / competency based interview questions o Technical questions related to the position responsibilities and requirements o An overview of the role / team o Opportunity to ask questions! Behavioural interviewing is based on the assumption that past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour. We will identify what skills and competencies are required to perform the role and ask questions in relation to this. For example, if problem solving is a competency required for the role the interviewer may ask: “Tell me about a time where you have come across a road block in your role? What was the problem/situation? What was the outcome?” The best way to answer these questions is to describe a specific example that demonstrates your ability using the “STAR” technique to structure your response: SITUATION > TASK > ACTION > RESULTAsked 24 October 2018
