The Hawker Village Bakery was my first job to have when I was a teenager. Being that, it was very stressful and set my anxiety levels through the roof. It did not help that one of the managers that was training me was a bit harsh around the edges.
However, it was a good start, I met plenty of kids in my age group, or a little older, and it gave me a chance to expand my social skills. The owners were lovely, and treated me fairly.
It was a rocky start to customer service, but I am grateful that I had experience of working there, as it may have been a mixed experience, but it made my next job easier.
free food, good pay, calm environment
Limited hours, poor training
