Reviews for Registered Nurse in Healthcare Australia
Flexible
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) - Perth WA - 16 September 2023
I work for HCA as a second casual nursing job. Pretty flexible, usually there are shifts available but it is quite heavily taxed. I wish they covered some of the cost of parking at facilities too! Good service on the phone and easy to reach someone on the phone if there are any issues.

Good pay
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 30 March 2023
Good place to work If you need extra cash or If you don't want to work in the same hospital. Only down side is your shifts get cancelled a lot due to Hospitals over booking agency staff and not needing them. Literally ad my shift cancelled 3 min before cut off time.

Good agency, great app but no job security - that's casual work though.
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) - Gold Coast - 15 April 2021
I've found HCA very good to work for although there are lean times for sure at certain times of year. The booking staff are all friendly and there are some ex-nurses who are very good at matching the right shifts to staff. There are some problematic client hospitals that book lots of shifts and then cancel them and the agency is often good at finding alternative work, though with 2 hours notice it's not easy. The uniforms are an issue as I can be working 4 shifts in a week and have only one uniform. Never been given another despite asking. Overall I've found them better than other agencies.
Pros
Great work life balance, good app, next day pay, nice bookers, 24hr phone cover
Cons
No security or holiday/sickness pay
