Reviews for Customer Service Representative in Hearing Australia

high-demand workload but with support

A typical day starts out quiet but quickly picks up. Most days are busy with the quiet period being lunch but even then that time is used to catch up. Management has improved over the past year. Most people are willing to help you out. Support for personal matters is incredible and execs are very receptive. Day-to-day could drastically improve if there were greater communication and negotiation between centres and head office. Centres are being overloaded with work and resources to help ease this load have been cut to save money. Most enjoyable part is the clients as they are usually the kindest people.

Productive workplace with a range of different challenges each day.

Australian Hearing was a productive and enjoyable place to work. I worked casually between multiple centres in Newcastle, Maitland and Toronto. One thing i particularly enjoyed was the diversity that the workplace offered. There were different challenges and tasks to complete each day and working face to face with clients makes every day interesting.

Rewarding and challenging

There was scope to continually learn which I enjoyed. I was encouraged to learn new skills and was supported through this process. I was in constant contact with people from all walks of life and ages. I learnt that I was an excellent problem solver and through issues that would arise on any day you had to be flexible to the role. The hardest part about the role was having different management styles that would cause conflict within the business. This I found manageable as I believe I was there to provide a service and I did this with integrity and with all of my ability. The most enjoyable role was the clinical assisting with the audiologists and working with the children as well as the more complex clients. I worked with a fantastic team of dedicated Audiologists and Customer Service workers which was the most enjoyable part of my employment.

Pros

Learning new skills and being challenged.

Cons

Long hours outside of work.
