Your hard work was appreciated and acknowledged.

Great culture

Hilton has great people working there and the culture is very supportive.Some staff and managements are there just long for the name of Hilton and those people don’t perform as good as they should which annoying. Benefit from company is huge and worldwide too.I haven’t worked at the hotel which has this layer of support fromManagements. There are some difficulties but overall it’s worth it.

Flexible workplace

The people you work with a very friendly.Working at the office, provides you with work balance. However, the salary can be low compared with other companies around the same area.

Good place to work but not good work/life balance

Very good hours if what you want is to work extra hours, go for it. Salary not what I was expecting. Apart from that, Hilton's culture is very nice and they make you feel good.

Great hotel group

Hilton hotels are leaders in the industry and a fantastic place to work. Culture is strong, friendly, positive and customer focused. Staff training and opportunities are excellent. Lots of chance to move up internally and around the world. I highly recommend working for Hilton.

Work hard, play hard

At least the Hilton where I work at, the balance is amazing. The team members are all fantastic and there’s a real sense of cohesion. Like we’re all aware of how guests can be but know how to conflict resolve things effectively. There’s a real sense of belonging. Being a integral part of a machine. Every shift I work is a different shift from all the others. No two days are the same and I really appreciate that.

fast pace with fun work place where you are appreciated for your hard work

A good place to learn and work with best management team. Good working environment with plenty of space to grow and support from management. Always supportive

Very unorganised

I don’t recommend this place. Shortage of staffs resulted into assigning one person a job of two. They expect you to come before your shift start but doesn’t pay overtime. Their cool rooms are way too crowded, unorganised and so narrow. Especially their freezer where it’ll take you so much time looking for things and boxes are on top of another that is not even the same products. Mostly missed my lunch because it was hectic but i needed to eat to have energy on completing the tasks. Staffs were okay but some of them were show offs to those who are in higher position. I had quite high expectations for this place but it was purely disappointing.

Great colleagues & management

I am currently in Events. Events is a team that sets functions, big breakfast, lunch and dinner for people who either does exhibition, functions, formals and many more. Job itself is not hard, colleagues and managers are amazing. Does not really require much certifications other than RSA.Downside is that unless you are studying hospitality and aiming towards hotel career, there isn't much career opportunity towards undergraduate. Ultimately, good job for university students since pay and benefit is great. But unless it relates to your study, don't think it will boost your resume much.

Housekeeping

Management are mean, speak and treat staff terribly. Tell staff they have to work past their rostered time most days and if you can’t they Get crabby. You never really know what time your going to finish. Work load is too much they give employees so many rooms to clean and expect it done in a certain amount of time if it’s not done you have to stay back. Their expectations are unrealistic and no meal breaks for 6 hour shifts. Pantry’s with stock are always empty so employees are always having to carry handfuls of linen up and down stairs among other things. employees have to clean with are face washers, hand towels and pillow slips that go back into guest rooms once washed. I wouldn’t like to use a face washer knowing it’s been used to clean a toilet. No real mops, floors are also cleaned with face washers and hand towels also if only guests new. I was looking forward to working here but was very disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone, pay is very low also you would need a second job. Best thing I did was leave along with all the other staff that are constantly leaving.

Great Place to work for a reason

Having worked at various Hilton properties, regardless of how big or small they are the team culture is fantastic. I have always been supported and I see my team mates who want to grow have the ability to do so. Yes its busy. Yes its hard work. But its also lots of fun!

You’ve been warned

A nice stressful environment with managers making you feel uncomfortable and co-workers back-stabbing you to the bosses when they get the chance. All for glorious minimum wage. The ‘free lunches’ are worse than hospital food. The only good thing was hotel discounts when travelling, and the managing director was very nice, but he retired not long before I left.

My dream job to be Excutive Housekeeper one day.I worked at Hilton Fiji this where i learnt alot to work at a 5 star Resort with my work experience i was proud to be part of the Hilton Fiji Family great staffs and Management team .IF i get a chance to work at Hilton Syd i will be happy to share my work experience.

Low pay long hours big company can't pay chefs properly management only care about themselves no room to grow now promotions here what.a joke $830 for a cdp ? 45 hour a week Really

demotivating workplace culture with manipulative colleagues

It has pretty flexible working hours compared to other places in this industry. I do not recommend here if you want to learn skills or have a good workplace relationships.

Worst experience ever

Corruption. This is the word which come to my mind if I think in Hilton London Bankside. Management corrupted, super unfair salary, misleading people. Working overtime every single day and never paid! Worst place ever.
