Field Service Technician (Current Employee) - Kalgoorlie WA - 6 May 2022
Training in the new technology as it came available Builds one day breakdowns the next so lots of variety chance to excercise knowledge in product support roles Plenty of overtime Down side as residential everything only based on a 40 hour week but looking at change to a roster as local to fall in line with fifo guys

WAS a great place to work,
Manager (Former Employee) - Adelaide Region SA - 11 January 2021
All the fantastic local SA people left, leaving a few good people behind to pick up the pieces. Upper management changed attitudes and coupled with change to the business model, resulted with a high energy, enjoyable work place turning to a toxic and mournful environment. Couldn't wait to get out of there.
Pros
Few, pay was ok, work - life balance was ok
Cons
Too numerous to mention

Very poor management
HD Mechanic (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 23 September 2020
VERY VERY poor management, been there too long set in their ways with no care for their employees.
F/S guys ripped off with their benefits .
I.e expecting the FS boys to be ready for breakdowns on weekends with no standby incentive .
Last minute organisation.
Expecting you to down personal life at the last minute
I wouldn't bother applying for a job here as they are awful
Pros
none
Cons
Too many to list

Management are out of touch with what happens on the shop floor.
Fitter (Former Employee) - Forrestfield WA - 3 March 2020
The purple circle exists and if your not in the circle, your overtime suffers and your ability to do your job safely suffers. Some long time employees run the shop in an unsafe manner. No accountability for anyone who damages something. Management just didn’t care about the day to day mental well being of their staff.

Long Term Career with exciting future
Shared Services (Current Employee) - Sydney, NSW - 11 February 2020
Family orientated culture where everyone looks out for eachother. I work with a team that is quick to support and help me whenever I ask for it and I appreciate that. I have a long term career here and can grow and develop myself with my managers support.

Toxic workplace
All Rounder (Former Employee) - Tasmania - 15 January 2020
Do not work here! The whole company is a joke where they do not care for there employers. Management is poor and is full of Narcissistic people. Hated every single day, was put down everyday and made to feel stupid. Can not ask any questions and do not receive and training. Would rather flip burgers at McDonald’s then work another day at Hitachi.

Great company to work for - despite the Sydney management never ending change-over
Customer Support Representative / Parts & Service Representative (Former Employee) - Revesby NSW - 16 November 2019
Customers service rep job was amazing. Company car, phone laptop and credit card all included. Fair commission structure with uncapped potential, would go back here to work.
Only downfall at the Sydney branch is the continual change of management.. the only reason I moved on.
Although, the senior team at the head office is brilliant especially the bus’s ones development manager at the time.

Good lunch room.
Product Support Specialist (Former Employee) - Revesby - 16 October 2019
Good lunch sitting room with TV but the customer service manager at the time had no clues.
micro-management, constantly watching and wanting to see and hear what people are saying.

Former Administration Assistant- Hitachi Wacol, Qld
Administration Assistant (Former Employee) - Wacol QLD - 28 September 2019
I lasted 3 months at HCMA Wacol as an Administration Assistant from June 2019.
The Administration Manager is sarcastic, spiteful, and without a doubt, a superiority complex. Her offsider possesses the same attributes. Many a time, my Manager left me questioning my own intelligence.
I quit my position with no job to go to. I was thoroughly mentally destroyed! I urge anyone considering an Administration Assistant role at Hitachi Wacol to think twice!

Politics runs rife
Storeman/Forklift Driver (Former Employee) - Greystanes NSW 2145 - 29 September 2018
Performance takes a categorical backseat to politics in this company. No room for innovation from the frontline, no emphasis placed upon determining root causes to recurring problems, a pattern of finger-pointing being the norm, & everything entirely task-focussed.
