My time at Hoyts Cinemas was a little boring. It involved cleaning cinemas, toilets and checking tickets, although this was expected from the role that I was given.

Floor Staff (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW
Poor salary, sometimes had to clean urine from the bathroom floors despite this not being something we had to do. Getting days off roster was sometimes a frustrating process as despite requesting certain dates off would sometimes get them as part of the week's shifts
Pros
staff discounts
Cons
long hours, transport from the venue at close is difficult to find.

Manager (Former Employee) - Woden ACT
Lots of opportunities to learn new skills in different areas of the company. Staff are all very friendly as well and always willing to help. You get to work with people around your age with the exception of managers and discounted movie tickets and food was an added bonus.
Pros
$2 movie tickets and discounted food and beverages funded staff screenings and games nights
Cons
Pay isn't great because it is part-time

very cliquey. management are very friendly with staff and if you arent in the clique you dont get equal opportunities. very low wage and high expectation.
