A friendly and productive work place
Recruiter (Current Employee) - Australia - 27 October 2021
Great culture, collaborative and supportive. Hudson is well established in the industry and has a commitment to doing well by both the people they work for and the people who work for them. The people who work here are passionate. It's a fast paced environment that will expect you to put your best foot forward. However, while it's competitive nobody gets left behind. It's true that what you put in directly corelates to how well you do - but team, heart and walking the talk are all values that Hudson actively fosters.

Fun and collaborative team environment with opportunities to make an impact.
Managing Consultant (Current Employee) - Adelaide Region SA - 1 March 2021
Working with Hudson, you have the opportunity to make an impact with the candidates and clients you work with - helping candidates achieve their career goals and clients grow their businesses. No two days are the same as you are constantly learning and growing your skills. You can also gain deeper insights in the market that you recruit in, through your interactions with the candidates and clients you work with as well as by attending industry events. I also have the privilege of working with some amazing people who have helped me grow and develop my recruitment career. There are Consultants (all levels) and leaders within the business who have a wealth of knowledge and are happy to share with you whilst also offering coaching and mentorship. Hudson also does a brilliant job at celebrating achievements and recognizing contributions – it doesn’t matter what role you work have within the business, you are encouraged and empowered to share ideas and run with initiatives that lead to good outcomes. Hudson is proactive in seeking ways to improve customer service and making a meaningful impact on both our candidates and clients experience. I highly recommend Hudson as an employer of choice.

Collaborative and relaxed culture
Principal Consultant (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 25 February 2021
We are a close knit team at Hudson and very welcoming of newcomers to the company. There is an extensive onboarding program that really sets you up for success and gives you a great background of recruitment, especially if you are joining from outside of the industry. At Hudson you are free to run your desk like your own business so the effort you put in should follow through with the rewards you reap!

Poor culture
Recruitment Consultant (Former Employee) - Sydney - 23 January 2020
Those who do well excel but it is not a collaborative culture nor are there thoughts for longevity. Employment is a revolving door so a lack of togetherness.
Pros
Decent wage
Cons
Culture and values

Engaging and Rewarding
Customer Service Officer (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 3 May 2016
I really enjoyed my time at Hudson Recruitment. I worked as a customer service officer mainly helping ensure contractors timesheets were completed on time and to follow up any queries regarding to this process. I feel like my communication skills were greatly improved during my time working with Hudson as I spent a great deal of time on the phone with contractors. The job was very rewarding as I was constantly busy and there was a great team ethos within the section I was working which I felt was very important to our performance.

(actually for CUBIC) Great people, hard to get recognised for hard work.
Customer Experience Representative (Current Employee) - Brisbane, QLD - 2 June 2015
A typical day sees me producing go cards for distribution and sale, completing balance transfers for patrons, various admin roles, data entry and communication with stakeholders.
In this role, I was able to learn the various parts that make up the public transport fare system.
Management can be a bit of a tough read. Professionalism is taken to the point where you never really know where you stand, which can lead to a few shocks and miscommunications. Otherwise, they are passionate and dedicated, and usually great people to work for.
Coworkers are friendly and inclusive. A mixed bag of people that tend to mesh well.
The hardest part of the job tends to be the lack of recognition. Or rather, the very selective recognition. Regardless of your results or achievements, unless you are working on the pet project of the upper management, you may as well not exist.
Most enjoyable part is the culture. The cross department communication really builds strong ties of friendship and team spirit.
Pros
Free lunch every fortnight
Cons
Not much opportunity for advancement, very rigid structure, stingy with awards
