Pay does not reflect hours and didn't take into consideration my schooling life and hours. The environment was fast-paced and didn't let me know of my first shift
Pros
Some cool people, discounted food
Cons
Long hours, low pay

They expect you to work understaffed because the management that get commission don't want to spend money on wages. All employees are unmotivated and generally don't do their job most of the time. If you like to stand around and take your time you'll have an easy time
Pros
Non
Cons
Always understaffed, no-one wants to work, always dirty

It's a good starter job, the pay is an award rate and they are easily able to set you up. If you just a high school or tafe student looking for some work than they're good for that. Never get pregnant while working for them.

•Low pay as i was on $10.50 an hour ( this didn't meet minimum wage)
•Boss was horrible to all staff and has a terrible attitude

•This job is not good for your self esteem and confidence as they make you feel like your not good enough. Wouldn't recommend as a first job

•Minimum training and expect you will know everything without being shown

•Place was poorly run

As the Hungry jacks is a fast food chain, so it has to busy as its easy food getting area. The employee is getting at least 9 hours shift per week. The pay rate is good. Other employee benifits are contable.

Great for some, it can be a very hard job with unfair treatment, pay is good. Not a huge amount of appreciation for what you do for them it can feel like you mean nothing pretty often.

Only downsides is the low pay rates and at first the amount of stress in a fast-paced work environment (however, this stress depreciates after the first few weeks.) Another problem (which is soon to be fixed with the help of the union to benefit workers) is the lack of breaks for employees. As of the current time a break is only supplied after 6 hours of working.
Pros
Friendly staff, Great place to build skills and a secure method of payment.
Cons
Stressful environment, low pay and little breaks

Fast food places have one of the highest injury rates of any workplace ranging from burns, cuts and bruises, and Hungry Jacks has the guts to see that and pay it's workers minimum wage.

As an 18 y/o Uni student who has to face the looming threat of Student loan debt, being paid less than $15 an hour is laughable. I've heard from staff members that have been there as long as 3 years that they've only seen $4-5 increases at best in that rate, and as a job that's typically considered 'entry level' I feel it personally fails to display an accurate working environment outside of itself, on top of just being awful pay.

Oh, and not to mention that management typically will try to undercut that as much as possible too.
If the store is having a bad week you bet that you're gonna have either hours cut or your pay is gonna look slightly off. Otherwise, management is normally fine and generally shares the same sentiment as crew towards pay as well.

At work here you're hurt frequently and given no end of opportunities to make small mistakes that feel a lot bigger than they are; it's a person with anxieties nightmare. The pay doesn't justify the long hours of backbreaking and irritating work. Seriously look somewhere else, anywhere else before you go here.

You can gain a lot of experience from customer service to kitchen hand, it can be quite stressful for you, and has low pay rate for people below 19years old.

Working at Hungry Jack's isn't the best but it isn't the worst either. Most of the time the management is pretty good and the employees who work there make the shifts worthwhile. The pay isn't very good and the hours are unreliable.

You could get 15+ hrs for a few weeks in a row before they'll suddenly drop down to getting less than 10 hrs a week. This is especially true the older you get (18 and over).

I'm currently 20 years old and working here because finding another job is proving to be difficult but currently earning less than $300 a week. Was earning around $500 a week before the area manager brought in a new rule that older crew will get less hours because we "cost too much". I get $21 an hour and $23/$24 on saturday's and sunday's. The area manager wants people aged between 14-15 but what kid that age who goes to school is willing to work day shifts?

But hours and pay aside, at the end of the day, a job is a job and while it may not be the best, I'm glad I at least have this job.
Pros
Fun people to work with, employee discount
Cons
Unequal distribution of hours, underpay staff, unreliable availability rostering

Received an adequate amount of work, the Managers were always happy to provide you with more if need be. The salary was poor but working in that type of busy environment builds your growth.
