Commis Chef in Yarralumla ACT 2600

Great people, workplace can improve
Being a chef here was a privilege as it presented many challenges that really stretched my capabilities. All in all as long as i’m on the shift where my colleagues communicate well, we’re in the right pace. If things aren’t communicated well, then that’s where the problems arise especially when it comes to dates, time of service and menu items, or allergy info

warning never work in F&B here
From my experience, stay away from this hotel. Worst management and job culture I have experienced in my hospitality career. They don't value support staffs. Very low wages. No job security - inconsistent shifts, lots of politics in the F&B management and no chance to grow. Very very toxic F&B Director and Managers.

A Day of Work at the Grand Hyatt
Arriving in 30mins before start time is a good way to start a day. To grab a coffee at work and maybe a sandwich at the cafeteria. The service provided by the Grand Hyatt treats employees is exceptional and remains to be one of my favorite memories while working there. If any difficulty at all its arriving at work and waiting for your lift up but this im sure could be avoided by arriving in earlie...

Even if they haven't seen any bad in you, but if they don't personally like you, they fire you that's why they ...

Good Hour
Good hours but overworked and understaffed. Meal is not provided. You have to be really quick to finish a job. But the pay is pretty good if that is your priority.
