I-Med Radiology
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 29 August 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAlthough it seems like a good place to work, the company does not value its staff, there are inadequacies in the pay and the pay is quite low with lots of people being paid different rates for the same work. There is opportunity for growth and development which is a benefit but it is hard to feel positive in this workspace and there arent many benefits of working at this company.

Very unappreciative work place you are a number and shareholders are everything
Medical Typist (Former Employee) - Remote - 5 August 2023
As a home typist for this company you feel separate from the company and unappreciated. No one knows who you are. You are strapped to your desk for 7.6 hours a day and expected like a machine to be typing for 7.6 hours to even try to meet your kpi. Every minute you are not typing it affects your kpi - different in an office setting because they can see you might be helping someone else. You help someone else with a report it affects your kpi because you’re not typing your work.
Pros
Work from anywhere
Cons
Repetitive

Overall average job with minimal room to grow
Medical Receptionist (Current Employee) - Auchenflower QLD - 25 July 2023
Pay is quite low for what you actually do, and job feels monotonous. Big workload, long shifts and low staffed. Is a good job if you want to do the same thing everyday.

Wouldn’t Recommend
Transcriptionist (Former Employee) - Queensland - 8 March 2023
The only good thing about this place was the coworkers. Corporate management are all about money in their own pocket and not enough about the staff. No opportunity for progression.

Toxic place to work. Don’t waste your time applying for a job at IMED. Huge staff turnover & bad management
Call Centre Operator (Former Employee) - Coffs Harbour NSW - 22 February 2022
Staff bullying that management ignore despite complaints. Team leaders with no communication or leadership skills, dingy small call centre. Staff are not trained effectively & pass blame for their errors. Process from interview stage to job offer can take weeks due to poor management
Pros
Lollies on the tea room table that’s about it
Cons
No ownership of any any desk or computer, no recognition for your work, or staff training, management have their favourites, lots of Karen’s in the office

Don't bother Pathetic training & support
Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) - Glen Waverley VIC - 10 February 2021
Very poor training if any, not what I expected. Systems not running properly. Promised on going support was not there. Had a person training you that had been with them 4 weeks only. Expected you to know areas of NSW that patients can go to their clinics when your working in Melbourne. Person training you hasn't a clue how the clinics work in NSW as they handle calls in Victoria therefore can't assist you as bookings entirely different! If you ask questions they don't like it. Trainer of 4 weeks enjoys the younger recruits. Just don't bother..
Pros
Coffee is nice
Cons
No training nor supportive coaching

Love the work. Lots of support
Home based Radiology Medical Typist (Former Employee) - Caboolture QLD - 22 January 2021
Great job. COVID put a strain on work load but there was a lot of management support. Hours were reduced so I had to find something that suited me better financially

Unhappy workers, Bullying culture
Radiographer (Former Employee) - Victoria - 14 September 2020
Started work having heard good things. Very soon found out that people were unhappy in the organisation. Management was not engaged and treated people poorly. Harassed by the managers. Felt disrespected.
Pros
Large company, typical corporate
Cons
Bullying culture, uninspiring work and poor incentives to stay.

No duty of care to staff
Administration Officer (Former Employee) - NSW - 2 August 2019
Bullying is a large part of the staff culture. It is encouraged by lower management and not dealt with. If you aren't a part of the inner circle, you have no hope and are targetted.

horrendous place to work
Receptionist/Administration (Former Employee) - QLD - 22 December 2018
was once a lovely place to work. now micro managed and toxic environment. teamwork only if you are in the click. some of the staff are great but most are in it for themselves and if you are not liked staff make your life extremely difficult
Cons

Its a good place
Technical Analyst (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 29 May 2018
If you don't get a micro manager, then you are doing great at this place. The corporate office is medium sized, but loyalty rates are quite high, telling the company looks after the employees very well.

I-med
Medical Receptionist (Former Employee) - Canberra ACT - 17 February 2018
Overworked and underpaid. Need more team building for a positive workplace atmosphere. Hard to implement effective and efficient services so that tasks can be completed competently when short staffed. Need to ensure that staff are inducted properly. Would be nice to let staff know they are appreciated.
Pros
loyal staff patient with newcomers
Cons
short staffed in a fast paced environment

I-MED is a very friendly and supportive team environment to work in. On my first day, the team were welcoming and took me out for lunch. We have an I-MED football team that really brings different business areas together. I-MED is a great place to work!
