I was transferred to an office closer to my home but far from what I said I wanted to do when hired. I applied for international clients but was transferred to work with small, domestic companies.

The IBM of old structured themselves around the skills and competencies of staff and how they could support the customer to maximise the ability to generate profit.

Managing multiple clients while working there. Company expected staff working 24x7. Too many layers and sometimes a simple IT job will be delayed due to multiple layers are not working together.
Pros
Good paid
Cons
Long hours

Manager (Former Employee) - Australia
Some interesting growth areas e.g AI. However, in general still struggling to find the right direction. Constant restructuring cause top talent loss and talent underutilisation. Too much focus on cost cutting result in short-sighted decisions in many cases.
Pros
Flexibility
Cons
Constant restructuring
