Work with a wonderful tea with a diverse range of skills and experience in a variety of nursing specialties. I facilitate the GP (when on site)/nurses and resources on site to deliver health services to detainees. I also triage and assess and treat detainees with their health through nurse consultation. IN the management role of my job description I have upskilled with my computer skills in regard to Microsoft excel. I have held a few Teaam Leader Roles over the years and still the most enjoyable part of my role is working with people in a nurse patient relationship. I also enjoy working with a dynamic team. The hardest part of this role is not knowing the outcome

racists with jobs for the boys or if you're leggy blonde and good looking. no transparency, poor pay, no benefits and no professional development . waste of resources and money

When I worked with IHMS in Christmas Island in 2014(3month May to July) mainly refugees main problem was mental heath Now most of the clients are detainees mixed problems still mental health is the main issue I have learnt about refugee health Work place culture is very supportive Respect each other Hardest part is satisfying the detainees Enjoyable part is counselling the patients
