IKEA offers a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. This is the idea at the heart of everything IKEA does, from product development and purchases to how they sell products in IKEA stores globally.

Anybody can make a good-quality product for a high price, or a poor-quality product for a low price. But to make good products at low prices, you need to develop methods that are both cost-effective and innovative. This has been the focus of IKEA since its beginnings in Småland, Sweden Maximising the use of raw materials and production adaptation to meet people's needs and preferences has meant that IKEA costs are low. The IKEA way of doing things is to pass these cost savings on to you, the customers.

The Swedish approach to design is also the basis of the IKEA range, which to this day is developed in Sweden. The home furnishings are modern but not trendy, functional yet attractive, human-centred and child-friendly and represent the fresh, healthy Swedish lifestyle through their carefully chosen colours and materials. These ideas are closely linked to IKEA origins in Småland southern Sweden, where the people have a reputation for working hard, living on little and making the best possible use of the limited resources they have.

friendly co-workers
Majority of the co-workers are friendly. It has a very down to earth environment where everyone is willing to help to make you learn. I may be lucky because I happen to have a manager who is very considerate and approachable, listens, and cares for his subordinates.

Great coworkers
Great group of coworkers to work with, horrible management. Most managers seem to be on a bit of a power trip. At one point the department managers and office staff were having a “bake off” in the coworker restaurant while all us sales staff on the floor were working on skeleton staff. The manager I had for a few years had no idea how to use computers or send emails so had us sales staff doing the...

Interview Questions

Group interviews is a way for recruiters to observe how you interact with other people, identify if you are a team player and work well with others to find a solution or complete a task set...it will also show them if you are outgoing..a leader -type personality...friendly...or shy... Some questions I have been asked....what makes you unique? How would your friends describe you? If you were an animal, what would you be and why? What motivates you? What does success mean to you? Where do you see yourself in five years? If you could go back in time 5 years, what would you change? Describe a situation where there was conflict at work between co-workers, how did you deal with it? Describe a situation where you had to make a tough decision, how was it received? Most of the questions are designed to get a better picture or understanding about the "real you". Your resume is just a factual document...interview is where your personality, honesty and integrity as a human should shine through. Best of luck with job hunting.
