Most people are senior level so if you're young the culture is awful
Consultant (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MI13 August 2019
Negotiate a high starting salary because promotions are tough to get.
There aren't career counselors to guide you through your path so you have to figure out a lot on your own. Mobility is tough.

Good environment, great people to work with. The hours can be rough, work life balance is always an issue in any career. Consulting can be busy as heck or not busy enough.

Very Slow paced
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) –  Irving, TX8 August 2017
Inbound and outbound calls. Data entry. The management was lenient and encouraging. The workplace was thriving, while everyone was seemingly laid back, everyone was still highly energetic.
Pros
Nice break

They Suck - Big Time
Market Research Interviewer (Former Employee) –  Bloomington, MN16 June 2017
Information Specialists Group is a survey company. Those people who annoy you on the phone.

They hire lots of temp workers, but have a very low retention rate. They have unrealistic ideas of performance, based on the level of pay they provide.

The management team is inexperienced and underqualified, they have no in-house HR department where you could complain, or to provide any guidance to the permanent employees or to block any bad practices.

Great people and services, no quality of life
Director (Current Employee) –  The Woodlands, TX16 January 2017
A great place to work. They allow you to work independently and leverage your talents and skill set for the good of the company. They have a bonus program that never pays out, even if you met your personal goals. There is no quality of Life work Balance.

Everyone on the team is competent, smart and a hard worker.

Human Resources Intern (Former Employee) –  Stamford, CT16 December 2016
Had a great summer internship there! Learned an immense amount within such a short time frame. Very virtual company, however, the company has a great staff and support team for young professionals!

Convenient Location, So-So Workplace
Marketing Communications Manager (Former Employee) –  Houston, TX21 June 2016
This company has been through a great deal of change. It started as a privately owned and operated venture as the first sourcing advisory firm to enter the IT Services industry. As it grew and matured, the early familial culture evolved into a sophisticated, widely renowned consultancy for IT and business process outsourcing, as well as a leading bellwether for financial and industry analysts tracking major outsourcing deals adopted by the Fortune and Global 1000.

After a failed merger in 2005-2006, the company (formerly "Technology Partners International" or TPI) restructured and went public under a new corporate umbrella, and took the name Information Services Group. The marketplace for advisory services in outsourcing and related transactions has also grown exponentially, and the company now has major competition from a variety of small, medium and major IT consultancies.
Pros
Convenient to my home (The Woodlands, Tx)
Cons
Lots of change (also a positive)

Most dysfunctional company I ever worked for. Don’t practice what they preach. Amateur leadership
Director (Current Employee) –  FL19 August 2014
A total joke. I am amazed at the dysfunctional way the company is run, and at the Amateurs who hold senior positions and make critical decisions. Company still surviving on last century structure, technology and IP, which is no longer relevant.
Cons
Lousy clueless management, company is set up for failure
