Assistant in Nursing (Former Employee) - Mid North Coast NSW - 1 February 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIf you like cleaning then home and community care is for you. If you like caring then there is not a good balance and they don’t take your skills into account. I worked for IL in Tasmania and they were fantastic I did palliative care as well as dementia care and the occasional cleaning, but when I transferred to mid north coast nsw I became a cleaner with the occasional care thrown in. None of my previous experience mattered because they just wanted workers. I was feeling very sore and very worthless by the time I left to work in a facility.
Pros
Relationships with clients become closer
Cons
Cleaning. Split shifts. Low hours.

Sad to leave
Concierge Officer (Former Employee) - Work from Home - 12 May 2023
My contract recently ended, but would have loved to have stayed. It was nice to be a part of a team who actually look out for the clients and each other. Management genuinely care about the staff and encourage personal growth. IT systems could use updating. I really enjoyed working in the Concierge team.
Pros
The clients, team culture, and management always willing to help
Cons
Contract ran out and main client software

Highest staff turnover ever
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Newcastle NSW - 13 August 2022
New boss is very busy with backstabbing politics and "lots of meetings", "back to back" but is somehow never available after 2pm. Funny that. Just tells everyone else to do the work and she then may "comment". The only thing she has planned brilliantly is to score herself the highest rate of pay as compared to her mates at the same level which must irritate them. Meanwhile 50% + staff turnover a year. Work with clients is the good part of the job.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Management and staff turn over so fast it is of no point to learn anyone's name.

Toxic false environment
Concierge Officer (Former Employee) - Newcastle NSW - 13 April 2022
Training is non existent, unless your willing to be fake and brown nose management you get no where. Contracted hours are impossible to get workload done in and unrealistic kpi’s set. No one knows what they are doing and the role is being made up as you go.

Don’t take any notice of the glossy advertising on TV. Seriously that is misleading
Personal Care Worker (Former Employee) - Sunshine Coast - 18 February 2022
I would not recommend this company. It’s all about the money not the clients. They do not treat their employers fairly, it’s take take take and no give. They still expect you to go to work even when your own safety on the roads is at risk due to extreme weather conditions. What does that say?
Pros
Free uniform
Cons
Lots of travel which is as exhausting as cleaning all the time.

Left due to poor work culture
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Singleton NSW - 6 August 2021
I thought it would be an enjoyable and flexible role, but left due to bullying and poor work culture amongst the field staff. The case manager was lovely as was our service manager at the time but sadly a few bad apples ruins it for everyone and I wasn't going to ruin my mental health to hold on to a role that I could do else where without the stress.
Pros
The clients
Cons
The staff, the pay.

Office space pleasant
Training Administration Clerk (Former Employee) - Muswellbrook NSW - 5 November 2020
I enjoyed the work, staff were friendly. Management were busy but mostly approachable. I did find care staff focused on clients but management were torn between financial outcomes and client care. I think it was a bit for profit organisation.
Pros
Client focus was pleasant.

Terrible run company
Care Service Employee (Former Employee) - Newcastle NSW - 20 August 2020
no chance to progress in the company event hough they tell you there is. Some days you are waiting around for hrs in your car between clients poorly run company, rostering is all over the place have you going back and forth spending more time travelling rather than organising clients around the same area or close that way you can see more clients , more hrs given friends that are staff

They are bunch of lies
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Wagga Wagga NSW - 4 June 2020
Do nothing. Nobody likes being lied to, and the natural reaction is to call the liar out, but that’s not always the smartest thing to do, especially at work. Before you do anything, ask yourself, ‘What’s at stake besides my ego?’ Carefully weigh the pros and cons before you take action. Consider who, if anyone, should know about the lie and the implications it has for the company. Sometimes, the animosity you avoid by staying silent is worth more than the satisfaction you receive from speaking out. Other times, the lie is serious enough that people have to know

Scheduling Officer (Current Employee) - Newcastle NSW - 11 May 2020
Management just does not exist.
Unless you are part of the "group" you have no input.
Emails answered.
Blame for other people's shortcomings eventhough proof otherwise.

Workplace culture
