Great place if no one else is willing to hire you

I've worked at j2 for 2 years, this company is completely focused on profitability. There is zero focus on culture, employees, customers or products. The products are falling apart, j2 is not an innovator, j2 does not strive to build great products, they don't even build good products, they build whatever allows them to check a box on the list and tell the customer that "yes we have that".

There is no career advancement, expect to be paid well below what the median salary would be for your role but don't worry management has been trained to subsidize salaries using bonuses which are no more than $500 a quarter. And if you're lucky you'lll get a $1000 raise at the end of the year. This isn't the case for one team, subsidiary or individual, this is how the entire business works.

Every team is understaffed and overworked while being underpaid. It's a very cancerous environment. Most people last a year, new grads build their experience and move on to companies that are on par with the year 2018.

Over all excellent place to work

Based in stoke on Trent great office fab people and decent pay!

Good location in Keele uni campus, bright clean office space, coffee is free along with snacks

I have been here already for one year, all is nice an easy, management board are really nice persons and they try to do the best for their teams. You can promovate inside the company, are opportunities but you need to demonstrate that you are capable and interested in what you are doing.

Mini@kitchen onsite, pizza for bank holidays, employer of the month.
Cons
Company should organize better the hiring and select carefully the new colleagues.

This company cares nothing for its employee. No advancement, VP of sales couldn’t close an open window if sales were involved. Sales manager is a puppet with no management power. HR is a joke.

Shifts vary from 7 AM to 4 PM start times. Part-time hours available. Great health benefits but sick and personal day allotments insufficient for most working there. Would likely need less time off if building infrastructure was improved and pressure to sell unrelated product was reduced in customer service division.
Communication between head office and Customer Support Management lacking. The majority of the management team is exceptional. In comparison to other call centers, this one is quite relaxed. I enjoy my time here but feel the opportunity for further advancement is limited unless someone higher up the chain has quit.
For Tier one agents this is a great place to work. Once the 6-month probation is up there are many opportunities to learn new products. When I was a CS agent the most enjoyable part of my day was resolving customer issues and receiving praise for doing so. The hardest part was dealing with customers who cannot accept responsibility for their actions.

First, the owner is creepy and shady. Management was OK, because his mom runs things. Also, no HR so the harassment and behavior was unprofessional.

That place does not offer anything to the employee. The quantity of work was crazy. Management does not hire more people and expect you do work at 200%, everyone was just exhausted and stressed. Zero opportunities for any self or career development.

While working with my last employer I learned a lot about the virtual world of telecommunication. I gained great knowledge of websites and how it can work for the small businesses and entrepreneurs. And customers were excited about how the service can be beneficial to their business.

Fabulous teamwork and co-workers.
Cons
No motivation from management. No raises, no bonuses, no pat on the back. The more you put into your work, the less gratitude from management. Shame, they have a great product.

This company is definitely the worst I've ever worked for. The management treats the employees in a very bad manner and with no respect whatsoever. For foreigners it was even worse since they would abuse the fact that english is not your native languages and in a situation of a conflict you would have no chance to defend yourself. The managements approach was more prison guard like. The overall atmosphere was unfriendly and unpleasant, there was no chance of progress, you are required to work like a slave with no right to share your opinion and speak about your concerns. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Pas de stresse et du travail en equipe, pas ou peu d'evolutions possible une bonne societe pour commencer. Le temps libre est respecté apres 17h on quitte le bureau.

the work placed is relax. The job is self can get a bit boring but it is do able. In the hart of Hollywood. So the streets are always block off but the job give paid parking so that a plus.
