All jobs are set up and trained professionally.
Good canteen to save time for going out for food
Good sports activities to encourage staff to be fit and active
Worked as floorboy for 6 months working like a dog. They don’t care about staff mental and physical health. Also they don’t even follow their own OH&S properly. I’ve seen people drop meat and chuck it straight back on the conveyor belt. First aid lady is a terrible person same as the lady who give you your gloves and other PPE. Only good thing about this place is the money. JBS such a terrible company pffft
Pros
Good pay rate
Cons
Work like a dog
Management wasn’t run well, usually emailed if there was a genuine problem with employee, long walk from car park to employment was disorganised as I felt that the workers should of had car parks close to factory rather than management and office staff who had closer car parks as the workers on the floor were the ones that were actually working physically
Pros
Great team to work with minus management
Cons
Pay less than the award rate and work you to the bone
People at JBS enjoy working there and most people have been there for 5-10 years atleast.
The work load is manageble and when you get on top of your routine you can form a good work - life balance.
The definition of a job where you are just a number. bad work environment, long shifts, and breaks that are too short (5 minute breaks). you stand in one spot all day working as fast as you possibly can. only do it if you have to.
Long hours, after hours calls break downs, not compensated for any after hours work. With QLD being the head office it was difficult to have things carried out in Melbourne as it would of been in QLD. No support from Management and no help.
Salary includes superannuation which is low. Constant expectation to work overtime and management can be bullies. The southern plants is a boys club and the northern plants just don’t care about you. I wouldn’t work here long term. Corporate office have no idea what they are doing. On a positive note the company progresses all the time so if you are wanting to gain experience quickly on a project this is the place to be.
Pros
Lots of projects so can gain valuable skill set
Cons
Long hours, no work life balance, low salaries, management are bullies.
JBS is a very nice company. pay system is very excellent. PPE'S is privided for all workers. good communications among workers and supervisors. breake system is very organized. working enviroment is proctective and unique.

it is a hard workplace that expects commitment, you need to learn quick and adapt to the way of the buissness.
you pick up skills quickly and must work within a safe environment.
I just go in do my job and leave I don't get involved in the day to day running of the place.
I like the hours I work and the job I do.
It is a very hot job
every one is a team player and the work can be easy when you have a great team to learn from and communicate with, i work with them from over 8 years now and i loved it.
good place to start work life with stability and opportunities to every one to develop their skills in different areas and positions, the company needs to improve in some politics and improve salaries.
The only part is that company don't let you grown up, dones't matter if you work hard to be successful or different in what you do, the meaning of it is that is always required experience to do that role, how could we if ara willing to gain or learn new experiences.
Pros
Money only
Cons
Long hours
Fast paced working Environment
Area to learn constantly
Hardest part of the job was the lack of over time
Co-workers were friendly
Pros
Fast Paced environment
Cons
Poor Management
It's a very physical job and hard work. The bosses are good and fair. Bordertown is a bit isolated. You can make good money on the night shift.
working At JBS. It offers you many opportunities to learn and seek new skills. It is a wonderful workplace.
the most enjoyable part of the jobs is working alongside with other people from different cultures and it is also a great opportunity to befriend other people and engage in outside activities with work colleagues
Pros
Getting Along with everyone
Cons
Long Hours
I have been working in the Meat Industry for quite a long time. I have five years plus experience. Loading and unloading from the freezer is the hardest job because you need to use up a lot of your strength to push out the meats.
Pros
Friendly environment
Cons
Long hours
