Nice helpful people to work with

It's an easy and sometimes overwhelming job especially if they fall behind. It is also a repetitive job and there isn't much room for advancement. The people are very nice and helpful.

If you value your mental health, don’t even apply

Management & upper management don’t listen to your concerns and when you voice a complaint or even make a formal complaint about management, you will be fired to cover their butt’s. Pay & hours were great, a few friendships I’ll treasure, but the workplace itself is horrid, and you will be micromanaged. You also receive practically 0 training & then are scolded when you make a mistake.

Most Toxic experience of my life

Bullying is part of everyday culture Middle management are woefully unqualified and senior management wouldn’t know who is who doing the work. Processes were out of date last millennium. No wonder they can’t make a profit.

The best thing to do when they offer you a job is to run. Run as far away as you can.

Staff turnover was high. The best week was when a whole department of 7 quit. This was because they were all finishing casual probation and got told the full time salary was higher than it actually was so after pay day they all walked. Another notable moment was watching a senior manager telling a head of department to fire the apprentice because of budget cuts, in the middle of the factory floor, with the apprentice right beside the department head.Sums up the place, management ruined the place by not taking responsibility and stringing staff along, making false promises.Stay away from Jeldwen Rowville, unless you want a bunch of stories about how awfil the place is.Also safety last attitude, work there long enough you'll see some seriouly bad stuff.

Management have no idea and make bad decisions, they dont listen to employees, consultants/conteactors and blame employees for everything.

Toxic toxic toxic

DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR WORKERS ON WORK OR PERSONAL MATTERS. Managers & leading hands walking around thinking they a GOD, and no one is equal to them. They hold grudges and don’t give people second chances. NO PROGRESSION. NO MATTER IF ITS DESERVED There is discrimination, harassment, fights both verbal and physical and racism out in the floor, and it’s NOT dealt with by the company at all. If you want to be miserable every day you leave the company then that’s the place to be.

Just poorly managed and they dont look after thier workers. The only thing good there is your fellow work mates. Management never take in to account to what thier workers say or ideas they always end up doing things thier own way. Management have no idea what they are doing they are so low life they wont let thier workers have an heat break when it reaches 40 degrees. Management are scum bags there

productive hardworking workplace

a typical day consists of hard productive work, sometimes deliveries are slow, which makes work less productive, I am enjoying having employment with Jeld win which well managed. I learn work safe each day and I am happy in my current position.

Professional motivation killers

You go to work happy you and go back home messed up in the head. Learning a lot and giving 100% does not pay back because you are dealing with “Managers” who of their point of view are GOD’s gifts for the organisation but from everyone else’s especially those under their direct supervision, are a nightmare. With simpler words they are just machine operators with access to email and no people skills whatsoever. You should never say what you mean but only what your manager wants to hear. No training plans at all and full with false promises. Very little people and management skills, what is leading to extremely bad recruitment process. Thankfully most of the co-workers are friendly and trying to help each other so you can push trough the day.

The moment you start working for the company you will treated like you are worthless. The management are not approachable and are extremely dismissive of any concerns you may have.

productive and fun workplace with pool table

busy making windows,frames,joining frames. management is fair the workplace culture is perfect as no harrassment, bullying the hardest part is when there is NO ENOUGH materials, hardware,other products, Enjoyable part is when all workers are IN, working as TEAM, having good relationship between the team,positivity, all materials,and other work related material is enough.

Toxic. Don't and won't pay the correct salary. Have no support or respect for long term employees. Avoid working here totally. Hard to communicate with higher up staff and have little time for listening to complaints.

Balanced work life and great team, however limited progression and salary

Jeld-Wen was a great place to start my IT career. An established global company specializing in the manufacturing industry, seemed to have unlimited career progression opportunities, however after 3 years I found that I hadn't been able to advance. The salary wasn't very competitive, however the atmosphere and colleagues made the job enjoyable, although challenging and stressful at times it was a good place to start.

Productive Workplace

Workplace was Very Fast Paced, Glazing Glass into door/window frames, Could be very Physical at times but i relished that. The Culture could of been a bit better but overall was good in production. Wasn't much work as a casual so ended up looking for something more ongoing

Learned the following:  Issuing street alignment levels - This involves taking driveway levels with a digital level, preparing longitudinal sections using AutoCAD Civil3D and designing adequate levels and grades to match street, footpath and building levels.  Responding to phone enquiries and inspections associated with driveway designs.  Assisting council design engineers and surveyors with collecting field data for the construction of roads, drainage, parks and footpath projects.  Preserving underground survey reference marks.

No Respect for good workers

Was working as a instellar for shower screen Wardrobes splashbacks gave my 100%work attitudes The logistics never gave me chance to go to level 3 always pressing . Sometimes i had to be send to north suburbs just for $150.00for the whole day. Always favouring installers who are known to the supervisor and giving the the good paying jobs

Lack of training, poorly managed

Worked for division in Melbourne. Worst company I have ever worked for. Staff camaraderie is the only reason it was bearable. Low moral, loads of staff moving on, lack of training, poorly managed, lack of respect for the workers who gave 100%. The company has lost good staff, lots of staff. One new employee gave notice within 7 days. There was no feed back from management, preferred to talk amongst themselves and not communicate information openly.

nice indoor work environment

The work and the co workers are good but the plant is very dis organized and managers are in competent and let some people get away with everything. If you are a good worker they will take advantage. Treat workers like kindergarteners when it comes to safety!! Any system that works well they will screw around with till it doesn't work as efficient anymore. The plant is well lit and warm in the winter. It does get very hot in the summer.

A global company with potential

The global IT departments are going through a significant period of change. Unfortunately dome of that is not being handled well but the end result will be a better and more cohesive global IT service for the company.

Unsupportive management, co-workers are wonderful!!

From the first time you answer a call in the morning until the last call you take in the afternoon, you will bombarded with frustrated, unhappy customers. Issues can vary from, faulty product, incorrect delivery of goods, incorrect goods received, bossy and impatient external sales members and customers chasing quotes that you have not had time to even look at. The working system is difficult to understand at first, there is minimal training given to new incumbents, but once you do learn, the hardest part is how long every simple task is re: paperwork/system entries/follow up. Management have lost complete connection with the working team. Overworked and understaffed should be their catchphrase. Recently, unpaid overtime is expected everyday. Stress/frustration drives staff members to cry every other day, this is not an exaggeration.
