Driven for market leadership; but learning how to achieve that
Manager Assistant (Former Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 3 September 2018
All things recently changed in aftermath of global merger. Continues its quest for leadership in its markets. Strong focus on corporate programs for engagement, leadership development, safety and procurement. Increasingly under control of corporate policy and standardization.
Pros
Depends on its people and looks after most of the best ones.
Cons
Lacking clarity what it wants to succeed at

Service Coordinator (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 15 May 2018
nothing good to say about JCI in Brisbane - JCI in Melbourne however was a great place to work. Management now don't care about the admin staff since the merger

In 1885, long before anyone talks about carbon footprints or climate change, Warren Johnson launches a company to explore new ways to harness and conserve precious energy resources. In doing so, he also launches a tradition of customer-focused innovation—a tradition that has inspired thousands of employees for more than 130 years and that continues to drive the success of Johnson Controls. Even before he founds the firm now known as Johnson Controls, Warren Johnson is the quintessential inventor. His pneumatic tower clocks, electric storage batteries, wireless telegraph business and steam-powered luxury cars and postal service trucks anticipate—and shape—the future.

workplace conditions
Senior Technician (Former Employee) - Bisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast - 16 January 2017
used to be a good place to work - now due to change of Management
the day to day work is pushed to the limit with threads if not completed in time. It's all for the Shareholders profits and not the
Front-liners any more.
