Flexible work place, poor communication

JBC is a great place to work if you're looking for a flexible role. You have the choice to pick up as much or as little shifts as you like, and can choose to set regular shifts while picking up extra ones if you choose. Only problems are the poor communciation between the office staff and support workers, which they are trying to fix by adding extra roles. Pay is also average.

Great company to work for

Great company to work for supporting elderly and disabled clients in the community. A great team who cares about their clients. Very flexible work and a supportive team.

Great clients and team environment with the people you work with. However the pay rate and management definitely need to be revisited and reviewed.

Great company to work for

I started originally completely changing fields of work, staff were supportive and encouraging.With ongoing training I completed Certificate III Individualised Support and Certificate IV Disability They helped me achieve this by working while I studied Their staff are friendly and competent

Awesome experience and a great opportunity to work with great people and management.

Supported and Valued

Just Better Care Mid North Coast is an amazing company to work for, if you are looking for a workplace that supports and cares about you JBC MNC is it. The application process was a breeze, the interview was great and I felt that the interviewees were kind. They took the time to get to know me and my skill set and made me feel like I was already a part of the team.Once accepting my role the induction and internal training support from the team of experienced management and supporting staff was amazing, I felt confident in my new role and if I needed help everyone was more than happy to assist me.My personal development within the company is always a priority for HR and the Director, they are extremely supportive and involved with my future goals and progression within the company.I pride myself in providing care to people in my community who are aging or have a disability, I would not be able to do this without working for Just Better Care Mid North Coast. Even when there are tough days the support from the team and being able to assist people in the community makes it all worth it.If you are on the fence about changing careers or workplaces this is your sign to go for it!

My lifelong career! I'm never leaving!

This is by far the best company I've ever worked for. Even as a casual I have job security and an abundance of clients. I feel safe always, whenever I have concerns, my company helps me and removes me from uncomfortable situations. The pay is the best on the Gold coast almost $5 more an hour than the average community care companies. I'm always listened to and looked after. I will never have to search for another job again.

Fun, always there

Typical day: Sign in on your app, do covid screenings, and help out your clients, log out and send in a report. The office staff are poliet, kid and always helpful. They will text, call or email you with more shifts that have become available.You get a bag with all essential PPE and can go into the office at any stage to collecte more

Works good

A lot of training course and visit to office. We were given uniform and equipment to use. Just didn’t have full days which wasn’t good. A lot of worked cancelled through the days.

Just Better Care : Blue Mts : good to work for on the whole

Just Better Care were good to work for. They treat their staff fairly and you have alot of autonomy. The only thing really is that at the time I worked for them they did not pay petrol so you had to claim back on tax.

On the decline - Communication/Customer service

Had joined this company with high hopes, as I had similar views with their mission statement and company culture. Regrettably in recent times things have changed, more so in the last 2 years as feedback from customers I work with seem to have experience the same things. Primarily rostering and communication issues - i.e. lack of updating customers with recent changes (big problem), telling the customers what they want to do rather than listening to what the customer wants, unfulfilled commitments, leaving customers I work with, with an ever-increasing frustration, leaving them no choice but to migrate elsewhere. This is very unfortunate... Also believe the customers have also suffered due to rapid expansion; and lack of staff and or quality staff to cater accordingly as a result.

Wagga office is very small and a relaxed environment

I really enjoyed working at JBC the management are friendly and very supportive. Head office is in based in Sydney but had monthly zoom meetings and they would come down on a regular basis to meet with the team.

Wouldn’t recommend

I enjoyed carrying out my job role as a care worker. However, after a period of time couldn’t do my job role in a satisfactory way due to how Management runs business. Made my job as a carer very difficult

Great company that cares and works with you.

A team orientated company who reallycare about their staffand their clients. Open and approachable. Knowledgeable and and always looking for ways to educate staff further. Shows appreciation through encouragement and gratitude and encourage growth in their staff.Great support team for the care workers out on the road, you can call to ask questions at any time. Feedback from clients is encouraged and actioned. You really feel supported and appreciated here.
