Clients were lovely but head office mostly leave it up to carers to sort things out Bad communication with shift changes eg sometimes not getting told about cancellations before you turn up When you transport a client in your own car they charge clients more than they reimburse you Too many gaps between short shifts and long distances between clients Just not worth it sometimes

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Across our network our Coordinators role involves matching staff availability, skills and preferences with the needs and preferences of our customers. Many staff who work with us enjoy concurrent shifts, particularly when they have a number of customers requesting their services in the same area. However, at times there may be some gaps in rosters due to customer needs, service/skill requirements and support staff preferences. Where possible our Coordinators endeavour to provide concurrent services for support workers, but we recognise that it is not always possible. It is an ongoing challenge and juggle to balance the needs of customers with the right staff. However, we know our local Coordinators strive to do their best for both our customers and staff. We appreciate your feedback and sincerely wish you all the best for the future.

Great bosses but not paid enough for petrol or hourly rate

Great boss and lovely clients and flexible hours. I am a single mother with two young children and they worked around school hours and weekends for me accomodating my situation and were completely understanding.

If your good at it, you can have all the work you want.

The management team at Gold Coast will be pleased to hear about your review and rating. As you may be aware, hourly rates are set in line with Fair Work requirements for our industry and are reviewed in July each year (so they will be reviewed again come July). Again, thank you for taking the time to write about your experience working with us, it is greatly appreciated.

Working with the clients is incredible rewarding.

Caring for the clients is rewarding, especially the elderly. They make you feel appreciated. As for the casual/vacation position, it was very difficult as there was barely any continuity of care with clients. I had shifts taken away from me an hour before I was meant to completing that shift, as well as being given a shift 15 minutes before it needed to commence. I personally found that aspect of the job difficult. A lot of time clients were not aware that there usual carer wouldn't be attending that day so it was in some ways distressing for the clients. Alot of travel was involved that I wasn't paid for, so it was like working a 6 hour day but only being paid for 3 hours.

Stuff were fun and easy to get along with

Was a great job as you got to meet a lot of new clients. management were very helpful and kind as there are always there and very understanding.
