Great for a first job
Food Service Team Member (Former Employee) - Loganholme QLD - 5 December 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe typical fast food experience. Learn good skills in food safety, hygiene, team skills, communication, cleaning, customer service (if you get cross-trained). I personally left because of personal reasons but is a good work culture as long as you do your job. Award pay and good growth opportunity if you have the leadership skills. 20% discount on food is good if you like it.

Good staff with engaging work environment. Provided me a good foundation on how to work in hospitality with management that cared about the progression of your skill. Would recommend.

Jobs at KFC
Decent first job
Customer Service Team Member (Former Employee) - Baulkham Hills NSW - 1 December 2023
Pretty good first job, training was smooth and coworkers were accomodating and understanding during training. Once you get the hang of it, the job becomes pretty easy and doesnt require much thought or effort.

Productive work place
Team Member (Current Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 28 November 2023
It is a good place to work as long as there are enough people on, when it’s understaffed it can be very stressful you find yourself doing the job of several people, and the pay is not worth it most of the time customers are okay but really depends on where you work, and if they are understanding of yous doing your best while understaffed

Good first job
Food Service Team Member (Former Employee) - Darling Harbour NSW - 25 November 2023
Good first job for students. Can be stressful at times during peak hours with yelling. Decent job that is offers flexibility with shifts for casual workers.

Didn’t enjoy
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 24 November 2023
Rude staff, bad management, got made fun of by other staff members when I first began, managers are stingy with shifts and have favourites who they give most shifts too. Would avoid

Poor Work Environment
Front of House Staff (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 24 November 2023
Staff were undertrained, management had clear favourites so would be favoured for shifts and rewards. Rewards were minimal. It was not a great environment, with staff constantly yelling and little communication

Management
Cashier (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 22 November 2023
Working for kfc felt more like going back to school than an actual workplace, at first it was the customers that were the issue but overtime it quickly became coworkers.

Just NO!
Team Member (Current Employee) - Fawkner VIC - 20 November 2023
I understand that many young people work here to start off being employed, but only work if you have literally no other choice. It is a demanding job with annoying, entitled, impatient customers and the entire restaurant from kitchen to dining area is extremely dirty.

Tiring
Team Member (Former Employee) - Fortitude Valley QLD - 19 November 2023
Greasy and tiring. Minimum pay for a high labour inducing job. Managers are often rude. Make sure you know youre work rights before working here so you can be assertive about them

Good workplace for students as casuals
Team Member (Former Employee) - All Sydney NSW - 19 November 2023
It was a good work place to work as students because they are more flexible in their shifts and can be changed according to your schedule. I would say the only part that was a bit difficult was the dealings with customers as they can get very furious about the wait time.

good people not glamours work
Cook (Former Employee) - Booragoon WA - 16 November 2023
. The workload is undeniably heavy, and the limited number of hands on deck means that tasks are often shouldered by a few individuals, leading to heightened stress levels and a tangible sense of fatigue. The strain is not only on the personal well-being of the cooks but also on the overall efficiency of the kitchen. Maintaining the high standards set by KFC becomes a delicate balancing act, where speed and precision are compromised. Addressing the issue of understaffing is crucial to alleviate the strain on the kitchen team, fostering a more sustainable and effective work environment.

Good hours and good team
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cranbourne VIC - 15 November 2023
The store was a great culture fit for me, the hours were flexible and the team members and managers were great people to work with. I work as a team member my role is to prepare and make food for the customers. A difficult part about the job is dealing with rude customers.
