Very busy but rewarding

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
long hours which you had to do as you had your own base, was hard to ask for help, management in Sydney were very nice, culture was work and work, the hardest part of the job was listening to elderly clients getting upset during their homestay in COVID 2020. Lovely to still hear from my clients over a year after leaving.

Pros

team and clients

Cons

money and long hours

Not the company I thought it was...

Majority of shifts are cleaning. Some days they might give you only a 1 hour shift. A company with high turnover of staff. A few managers & HCW’s had left in the first 6 months.Staff are promised lots of work at the beginning but dwindles as they hire new staff.Low paying. You need to keep an eye on payslips and make sure you’re getting paid properly - I had to chase up my pay fortnightly as was not paid properly. Lots of driving, you start feeling fatigued. Kincare will send you 45 minutes to 1hour drive to clients place. Clients complain a lot about Kincare and their issues are not resolved/are ignored by management. Lack of career progression. Management not that supportive. Communication is not great either. Contrary to what Kincare advertises - they do not care about their clients nor staff. Please be aware of these issues if you do apply. I would not recommend this company to anyone for employment.

Pros

Beautiful clients.

Cons

Everything listed above.

Poor Communication with management to field staff - management not approachable and do not return communication

High volume of staff turnover HCW not treated with respect and could treat their clients better . Thank goodness for the clients They do not follow their mission statement at the end of the day it it’s not a company I would recommend for either working or as a service provider unfortunately they say they promote advancement although this is definitely not the case

Pros

Clients

Cons

Company culture

Worst company I have ever worked at.

The worst company I have ever worked at. Management DO NOT care about their employees and have unrealistic demands, HR does nothing but protect the company and do not help employees at all. Underpaid with long hours and no recognition from managers except when you do something they don't agree with. I will never use this company for my family with any services they DO NOT care about customers. All the upper management care about is profit and unrealistic KPIs.

Pros

The beautiful customers and Home Care Workers - Not management

Cons

Poor Management, underpaid for role, long hours, no recognition, Management who do not care about anything but themselves and is based on work place inequalities.

Supportive employer, great role generally!

.The company has been very accommodating in allowing flexible work arrangements (particular day availabilities). Really great for work/life balance. The management are lovely although seem busy and don't contact us field workers often. There is a lot of cleaning/domestic assistance which can get very tiring.Unfortunately the pay is way too low for the type of work completed however it's to the Award. An added bonus is the company does pay for KMs and time between services

Pros

KMs and travel allowance

Cons

Low wage

Very professional company, better than most

I am looking to find a more permanent position as I made a very poor decision to accept a permanent position when offered, they employed 10 peo people for my area and my workload changed for the worst.I am over being casual, but enjoy the extra rates

Pros

Paid kilometres and travel time

Cons

Domestic assistance imbalance

Worst pay, very disorganised company

No wonder their schedulers and customer care managers quit all the times. Stressful work, roasters can change on the day without notice. Constantly need to refresh app to get real time update, very difficult when internet connections is bad and very little time allowed between jobs.

Pros

Lots of work if don't mind DA - cleaning. Nicest customers.

Cons

Stressful - not enough travel times between jobs, and driving back and forth. Scheduling has no ideas of geography

Managers take care of themselves

Team members were great but not happy. Managers are all about their careers, they say they want you to grow but are interested in themselves. Difficult to grow your career with them

Pros

Great team

Cons

Management

continuous changes

Everyday was different could be out on the road visiting clients or be a complete admin day in the office. Gained knowledge within the industry, they were good providing education to expand your knowledge. I experienced multiple management teams whilst working there so it was always difficult to get to understand and know how they run things some were great some were unbearable. Goal posts were always moving it made it difficult to communicate new changes to clients when new management come in.

Pros

Company car full use for private use ability to work from home.

Cons

travel and management

Disorganized management, stressful

Very unorganized management, favoritism between management and support workers, overloaded with work with no breaks in the day. Workers live on gossip and chinese whispers

Lacking communication

My experience with KinCare - management was poor. Lack of support to both the client and the care worker. Minimal ongoing training provided. Paid well, including travel time.

Good team environment. Management is really helpful. Kincare is improving.

I have worked here for just a short time but I am pretty pleased with the work environment so far. Our NCC team in particular is fun and helpful. Being new and feeling lost at times I always had someone willing and ready to help out. I have been encouraged by many here to ask for help when I need it. There are a few frustrations with clients, the field staff, as well as with Kincare the company but nothing too stressful so far. Kincare obviously still has a few kinks to workout but it sounds like they have made a lot of progress in recent years and we have regular team meetings where open discussion is encouraged and we are allow to speak freely of any issues or concerns we may have. Love that we get stretching breaks throughout the day and that the managers lead!

Kin Care will for ever be the best company that I enjoyed working for in Australia. I am sad that I have to say goodbye to Kin care.

One of the best company I have worked for. It’s so relaxed and u r ur own boss.(clients r ur boss).best part is knowing that u r gonna make a difference by just caring and smiling with ur clients .loved my team leaders and some rostering teams. It can be painful to deal with rostering team sometimes but their job is stressful so I understand.

Okay

I was a employee for 6 months there and I can say I did like the job it was the management who say they will support you but don’t. They pick on you for the littlest things it’s ridiculous.

Pros

Free food

Cons

Bad management
