Fluctuating hours, insecurity. One week I had hours and then the week after I was fortunate to have three (3) hour shift or none. I’m a mature aged person, I need to work/hours, have a family, mortgage, school aged child etc. How I survived? I cut off my social life expenses.

I left Kmart due to my hours being cut because of my age and limited availability at the time. However, if I didn't have other commitments (bills, car, etc) I would've stayed because the environment was lovely, the people were great and the job wasn't too tedious with unrealistic expectations.
