Fluctuating hours, insecurity. One week I had hours and then the week after I was fortunate to have three (3) hour shift or none. I’m a mature aged person, I need to work/hours, have a family, mortgage, school aged child etc. How I survived? I cut off my social life expenses.
Because I moved here in Sydney I work with kmart in nz
The greed of the managers looking for a couple of extra dollars for their bonuses. They will cut your shifts especially the older workers and give it to 14 year olds who do not need the money as much as the older workers. Sad but true. A suitable job up until you reach 20. Dont stick around too long.
The culture is abhorrent.
