Rewarding. Working for a good cause
High demand work requiring fast turn-around times and quick responses from service delivery contractors.
Although the work location was good the office space was crowded and noisey.Support Worker (Casual) in Melbourne VIC

Coworkers professional and passionate, management incompetent don’t walk the talk.
Launch housing as an organisation that consistently ignores what is most important and should be at the centre of all they do….their clients. No proactive communication or consultation is done, the clients’ perspective is not considered when decisions are made. Launch housing calls telling people what has been already decided by management, “consultation “ If you are passionate about working with people who are homeless or who have experienced homelessness and have a high tolerance for trauma and incompetent managers, this is the job for you. High turn over of staff and poor career growth prospect.
Super busy; no work-life balance. Staff are not treated as equal, management does not understand the hard work involved in managing clients with complex needs. Bias underperformance perceptions - managers often place any individual into an out-group whilst consciously seek affirmation of their own perception setting staff to fail. One-sided HR encourages this behaviour. Senior roles allocated to friends/families of managers; challenging this opinion will result in underperformance investigations of the individual. Discouragement of generational diversity organisation prefers to employ the younger generation. Barriers in creating diversity and inclusion in the organisations are not recognised, therefore not addressed. Most enjoyable - hearing success stories of our clients. The hardest part of the job - lack of managers support and accountability Data Analyst - ICT in Melbourne VIC

Good experience - Collaborative workplace
I enjoyed this contract at Launch, everyone co-operating to get to the main goal. I'd work there again. Management was flexible with Remote work & were easy to work for. Tertiary Qualified Applicant in Not sure (Dandenong..)

Poor recruiting process
Recruitment is sloppy with recruitment personnel not replying in a timely manner to requested information from applicants.
Post interview, I was asked for another referee which I supplied but I heard nothing back. It undermines the standard of professionalism - which applicants are required to uphold. I had secured a professional referee ( & THEIR valuable time) & Heard- no reply /Launch Housing. What would you say about your employer?
