If you're prepared to do long haul, it's good paying work
I've enjoyed my time with Linfox as a roadtrain operator, the gear is exceptionally good for the environments they're subjected to and the fleet is renewed every few years. The other drivers are an awesome bunch of people to work with, and everyone is on the same page which is GREAT in a transport company.
The biggest problem with this particular type - more... of work is never knowing exactly what's going on from one week to the next. While the work is usually pretty steady, it isn't unusual for a week with several days off in a row which can make a huge difference between pay packets.
Trips are noti ... - less
ProsGood pay, quiet, comfortable trucks. Exceptional gear.
ConsNo set roster, senior management trying to erode wages and conditions.
