Unreal place

Indeed Featured review

Housekeeping family was amazing and the staff are so much fun. There’s lots of things to do, as long as you have a positive attitude and are willing to not always be #1 - as guests are, you will have a good time. The management is quite slanted and obnoxious, despite being total dkcheads but aside from all inside the main office, all other teams are great.Housekeeping was the best experience I’ve had and I would always go back if I could.

Fantastic workplace environment

A unique place to work, being an island. Great people to work alongside with including not only Australian's but people from around the world.Work is rewarding and after shift can hike up Cook's Look or snorkel amongst the fish and reef.

Horrible experience. Avoid at all costs

You are simply a number for the company. An employee number that is. When I arrived here I was fairly healthy, but the food was horrendous and made me nutrient deficient and ill almost daily. Most accomodation have black mould or aspestos warning signs on the entrance and you can’t lock your room. The staff purchasing shop on the island is inflated with additional costs going back to the company. You’re rarely allowed to do any activities on your days off and will almost always get bumped off charters to outer reef for diving, or dinghy hire, ore getting. A drop off to one of the beaches. 24 of which are advertised but only 11 are accessible in perfect conditions but usually only 3 or 4. The entire island is a con. DoNOT work here if you value yourself, your sanity or any sort of normal lifestyle.

Very good place to work

Very easy job. Every where is one step away from the beach. Stunning place to work in. Just finish your job from 9 to 5 and then enjoy everything on the island, the beach, the trail to the top of the Cook's Look, chill with beers and good food. Management could be better but not bad. Never ever have to over time, but of couse have to work hard, room attendants are pretty physically demanding. Can drive a buggy to carry stuff you need for work.

Pros

Free meals 24/7

Cons

Live on an island
