They may change their minds or their situations may change. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The working environment is difficult to estimate, as you are not directly influenced by others.

Fighting to be paid/not lied to.

The job itself is fine. Clients are delightful but due to poor management, it has proven a nightmare to get paid and worse still, to find someone who will be honest to you is next to impossible and then to have someone stand up for you, act as if they hear you and appreciate the work you do for them is impossible. I have spent hours and hours over the course of my very busy week, trying to resolve this issue. With no success. Every single employee who tells me they will sort it out goes MIA when what they told you was going to happen never did and the worse ones are those who perpetuate untruths. It has been the worst work experience of my 39 years of gainful employment.

Great way to get experience

Great way to meet clients, gain experience in the disability support workforce, build relationships with clients and have a greater awareness of disabilities/NDIS.

Great platform with plenty of roles available to support workers. You can set your own hours and choose clients you are comfortable and skilled with. Good company.

Fee

Its an a-okay company very flexible since you pretty much have the autonomy of your availability. There is just too much Mable fee from both ends. Customer service is not good

Pros

Flexibility, Salary autonomy

Cons

Client can withdraw anytime, no security, too much mable fee

Great idea to engage your own carers and clients, payment system terrible

I think it is a great platform for people to engage their own carers. I have worked for three weeks with a client and have not received a cent. It is very disappointing. My client pays her accounts through the NDIS invoice system which is very slow. I refuse to pay out another 2.5% of my earnings to receive payment faster. My area seems to be competitive, there are not many jobs to choose from. I can't survive off Mable, my children would starve.

Pros

Working hours are more flexible

Cons

Payment system

Overdue payment

It’s been almost 2 months since I got my profile approved on mable. The clients are very nice. But all my payments has been overdue since 3 months ago, which really makes my life hard.

flexible working hours platform

I am helping an elderly lady twice a week in her household. It is very rewarding for both of us and she is now family to me. Mable is a great platform and offers so many different jobs.

Support worker

typical day is supporting clients to get out and about, do some shopping and have a chat and coffee. Helping clients get to medical appointments, staying in touch with family and friends, general support when needed and making a great connection with the clients is an added bonus.

Easy to find clients, bad payment service

The payments take too long to be paid. In addition, they would charge you a fee if you would like to request faster payments. Easy to find clients, but some of them misunderstand the functionality of the platform.

Pros

Easy to find clients

Cons

Bad payment system
