Guest Relations Associate (Former Employee) – Sydney NSW – 10 September 2018
After working for Macquarie Bank for more than 2 years, I have realised that I lasted that long on the position due to my team. As in every job, there are good and bad days, but if the work atmosphere is good, everything can be done. However, the high level managers were rude with all the employees.
I have nothing negative to report about Macquarie Group.
Senior Manager (Former Employee) – Sydney NSW – 16 August 2018
I was privileged to work for Macquarie Group. I was paid well and worked hard. The fifteen years I spent there were very enjoyable. The Group places a great emphasis on proper human resource management and on equal opportunity employment. Their policies in both areas are to be admired. Given the overall quality of management staff employed by the Group, learning opportunities for those wishing to increase their knowledge are boundless.
RMG Director (Current Employee) – Sydney NSW – 14 June 2018
On an individual basis, I learned a great deal from several team members and clients, but overall I've never worked for a more dysfunctional firm where toxic people are not only allowed but encouraged and promoted.
Good global exposure, high quality co workers, interesting work
No value placed on employees, zero work life balance, 12-16 hour days every week, toxic culture

The hardest part work in Macquarie group was when local business looking for your trouble or ridiculous request which out of your responsible, no one will help even your direct reported manager. If you can't make business management happy, soon HR might issue you a warning letter. then ......

A great culture. If you enjoy being empowered to achieve then this is the best place to work. No micro management, just work hard, get results and don't do the wrong thing. You're completely trusted to get results. Probably the best place I've ever worked.
