Fun co-workers and gorgeous spa

Lack of; advancement, pay increase/bonus, benefits. Everything else about the place is great. It's definitely a good place to start out your massage career and gain valuable experience.

Not a good place to work overall

You’re paid on commission, so only when you do a massage, in between, you’re not getting paid, if you’re not booked. The management is not good. You have to find your own time off. Co-workers won’t work for you or are already working that day. You’re constantly asked to come in on your day off to work. The turnover rate is high. Pay isn’t good for the amount of work. In between massages, you have to do laundry, and mop floors. And you’re not being paid for doing so. Finally, it doesn’t offer any benefits (no health insurance; or CEU)

Pros

Free massage a month

Cons

Good place for new therapists

My experience here overall was fairly pleasant, but I found it hard to stay due to the below average pay. After a while, coworkers would become resentful and complain about the below average compensation. Honestly, this would be a great place to work if they paid a fair commission. $15 per service is just not enough. There would be talk of them giving us raises but it never happened. No chance to advance in any way. For anyone just out of school, this is a good starting point, the training is good and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. It will give you a good foundation for future endeavors. Take my advice, don't stay here if you want to further your career and make good money. Get some good experience and move on.

Pros

Relaxed atmosphere, good training, nice decor

Cons

Poor compensation equals low morale
