I worked at mcdonalds for 4 years; From crew to shift manager. I did thoroughly enjoy being a crew member and crew trainer despite the low pay I always had fun and wanted to learn and advance; I ended up in a management position which was fun at first but the stress from higher up (above store level) was too much. I got along very well with all my collegues and really enjoyed helping the young crew learn and advance but unfortunately the stress and unreasonable expectations were far to much. Including being expected to work unpaid and unable to have a break.Its a great learning experience and would be great in a store with reasonable expectations and higher management.

Super busy

Great colleagues but stressful due to being understaffed. Frequently had to deal with rude customers. No time to adequately clean so the place was often a mess.

They pay minimum wage and expect maximum effory, don't expect yout 10 min rest breaks and dealing with toxic management atime.Co workers were good and the discount was good. Overall decent first job to learn Resilience and get some money if you are a teenager otherwise stay clear

Horrible

Management and staff treated me really bad. Was not trained on how to do the required jobs and system was really really bad. The pay was really bad as well

Good on the resume but not worth it

A great first job and looks good on the resume, but I wouldn't recommend for people who are easily overwhelmed because it can get super busy. The pay is ok but not enough for the amount of abuse you will experience during your time at Maccas. There are some lovely co workers and customers but it isn't worth it.
