28 hours is minimum for part time in Australia.
There is no minimum part time hours hence part-time although you will be working fewer than 38 hours a week.
Minimum is a 3 hour shift
Now that the enterprise has been changed the minimum hours a part time worker has to work is a minimum of 3hrs per day- per week. Being part time at McDonalds involves a lot of commitment and not much flexibility as you need to agree to the same shifts every week and if not you need to fill out paper work as to why not or if you want to pick up/give away a shift you need to fill out forms as well.
