What is the interview process like at McDonald's?

  • For me it was a one on one interview that only went for 5 minutes even though it was scheduled for 10 (minutes). Interviewer seemed to like me as soon as the interview started so we just talked about work expectations (working in a high intensity working environment, working in a team etc) and getting me to elaborate about parts of my online application. Was probably the easiest interview I've ever had.

  • I applied online on a Sunday night and received an email invitation for an interview at 8:07 am the next morning (must've been short staffed). I selected the time slot which was 9 days later.
In the interview, the interviewer asked me which university I go to, what I'm studying, how long etc. Then she asked about my availability; why i'd like to work at McDonald's; what makes good customer service; why is communication important.

Always try to ask a question at the end. I asked "do I start off as a casual" and "what do you like most about working here?"

  • Casual and friendly

  • In a group interview, we first split into groups and introduced ourselves to the group. then we wrote dot points about what good service looks like and the interviewer picked random people to tell everyone about why it is good service, then the same thing for bad service. After that we played a few games like jenga while people got a short 1 on 1 interview asking like 3 questions:
-Why do you want to work here

-What do you like to do outside of school

    -Do you play sport

    and asking about your availability.

We also did an activity where we had to build a tower out of marshmellows and spaghetti to see who communicates the best.

It was all really easy and was actually quite fun, if you are having a group interview soon dont stress, its very laid back. just make sure to go practice basic questions like "why do you want to work here" etc. good luck

  • The interview process is unique and enjoyable

  • I attended a group interview for McDonald's and it's honestly one of the chillest interviews I've been too. First thing we did was we chose a partner, introduced ourselves and then introduce your partner to the entire group. Then we were split into larger groups and we answered some questions and did some fun activities. That's it!

  • By an interview

  • Basically I was sat down with the store manager and she asked me questions relating to experience, skills and why they should hire me.

  • Quick and easy

  • It was a group interview where we were introduced to each other, played problem solving games and answered questions to test our team work skills + find out about how we communicated with one another.
