Fast paced & entertaining

As you can imagine it is fast paced, there’s always something to do, you’ll never get bored. The crew is usually good except for the odd few. The managers are amazing! The pay is alright if you’re casual, but it’s stressful work. Peak times are like a tornado hit the store with machines breaking, fries all over the floor, people pacing around, orders being chucked around and you can’t even have a second to grab a drink. Overall a good learning experience but not a long term employment environment.

The customers can be stressful and bad. However the coworkers make the job, and they can be awesome. Only half price food unless you get promoted, when it becomes free when you are on shift. The work-life balance is great, very good at fitting around school and other commitments

It was definitely a job

I worked there for near on a year and well I’ll start with the positives, some of the staff and managers are nice and they will let you know doing a cert 2/3 in retails an option, the 50% on shift discount isn’t bad either but some of the managers are downright abusive and will be annoyed when you don’t know how to do something even if it wasn’t something you were taught, some managers would rather get you to multitask on several different stations than to take an order themselves.

Abusive and lazy management, pays not great

Working at a McDonalds really helps you to develop customer service skills, and how to work in a fast pace environment for the future. Can be a very good stepping stone for future jobs
