Good place to work but not for the ambitious
Research Associate (Former Employee) – Gaithersburg, MD – 6 June 2017
The company has a really good work/life balance with good hours, good vacation time, and other types of leave (sick, bereavement, jury, maternity, etc...). Management is generally good and the culture values results and ability and is generally pretty good as well.
The only downside is the compensation/benefits tend to be pretty sparse compared to other companies so you need to negotiate more initially. Also, while I've worked here for 4+ years, there have been cases of layoffs and firings. Advancement is also really slow with many long-time employees working 3-4 years before promotions.
Overall a good place to work but not a good place to get ahead.
free gym, cafeteria in building, company discounts
slow promotions, compensation
