They are easy to talk to. They care about you and will help in any way if they can. They will always try to give you work. As long as you keep them up to date with your availability and any situations you may have they will help you work
You choose when you want to work
Sometimes there isn’t any work
Pay was weekly Busy sometimes Boring when just sitting around Exciting sometimes when you went to someone’s place get to know other people Bossy and rude staff Manager was alright sometimes
Sometimes you could choose your shifts
Going to different places
Very stressful job due to poor management and unrealistic expectations. The management focuses on end result only at all costs - priority is phone calls yet forget the fact that our number is private hence many voicemails are left as nurses are reluctant to answering the phone calls, and there are other way of communications (SMS and emails that nurses prefer). Consultants waste time doing ineffective tasks given by the management rather than focusing on the actual job - no trust and no autonomy (micromanagement). No recognition of high achievements - never good enough.
Parking spot, cake on birthday, great colleagues
Low pay, lack of support and terrible management
I'm happy with staff and their support. Accomodation is quite good in communities. Nt health supportive of training etc. Suggest online ALS and triage to continue education is covid time
Occassional communication issues due to time differences
I had to do a week of on line training to work in NT but it was very informative and beneficial. Workplace culture in NT is a learning curve in itself. Working for Mediserve Nursing Agency was a great experience for me in Perth, Sydney, Darwin and Adelaide. The office staff were just so easy to get on with and flexible.
Accommodation was available at reasonable rates
Sometimes short notice for shifts but manageable
Very indifferent management. Interested in end result only and do not really encourage staff at all. The decisions from management change constantly. Head office is in Perth so communication is difficult for other state offices. Very difficult environment to work in. Almost to the point of unprofessionalism.
Long hours. Little reward and definitely not a strong management team
This nursing agency is very flexible and great pay but however it is not very flexible east getting shifts. And people are put on casual roles without any job securities unless you are a news rising staff.
Better pays during public holidays and tge jobs are very easy in hospitals as a PCA
Long night shifts
Mediserve is a very good company with lovely and kind staff. They are very understanding and considerate. I love working with them, since when I was nursing assistant until now that I am a Registered Nurse already my working experience with them is amazing. God bless Mediserve.
I have worked with mediserve for 4 yrs the staff in the office are supportive and do their best to provide you with all shifts you request.
Mediserve are a supported well respected agency. They provide a wide variety of shifts in your area of specialty. There are occasionally times when work goes quite, however this is outside of their control. When this occurs they spread available shifts across all of their nursed. I love working for them.
Mediserve is the best nursing agency that I worked, nice manager, nice working team, and they provide a satisfied salary. And the most important thing is that they accept overseas nursing experience, which provide a job opportunity for those international students. I am very happy to work with the agency.
The work opportunities are great and rewarding. The uniform attracts many nice compliments from patients, visitors in public and hospital staff. It is extremely functional with many pockets for all that a nurse carries on her person from bedside to bedside. It is very comfortable and professional, easy to wash and wear. It is so much more professional in look and functionality than the current standard of many nursing agents which is that of a polo shirt and many without a pcoket at all. Good on Mediserve for the attention to detail with professional look and functionality of uniform for nurses who work long hours.
typical day of work varies because i am assigned to different hospitals around adelaide, i learned that different workplaces have different routines and policies, hardest part of the job is adjusting to a new workplace, most enjoyable part is having to learn a bit of everything work-wise
