Youth Justice Worker in Parkville VIC

Not great
Unfortunately there is no work life balance, long exhausting hours and at times dangerous. High staff turnover. On a positive note, it will give you a good insight on life behind bars for youth.
Juvenile Justice Worker in Parkville VIC
on 18 January 2017
I worked there for 14 years. Until the new Director started.
I absolutely loved this job. But when The new Director started in 2012 he didn't appreciate the long term workers as he wanted to change everything. He began getting rid of everyone and now has uni students working. Hence all the uproar on the news re riots there and Malmsbury which he is also the Director of. He has made things dangerous and unbearable.
