Good retirement job
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Mss - 26 October 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGreat job for people nearing retirement at most sites with shopping centres the main exception. Hours often are long depending on the size. Co-workers good for the most part.

The worst company
Security Control Room Team Leader (Former Employee) - Bundoora VIC - 5 November 2022
They beg for you to work with four hours between shifts. Management doesn’t know you’re role, there’s no training, no support, pathetic pay, extreme stress, no breaks, toxic culture and non existent integrity. Not a job, but a prison sentence.

No they discrimate against their workers
Security Officer (Current Employee) - Collins, AU - 8 August 2022
This a company that bullies it's staff and threatens it's staff if you stand up against their wrong doing. Management is the very incompetent and often got the rosters wrong. All they care about is their profit margin and the worker conditions are often not the greatest. Often the offices you work in are dirty and disgusting. One place I worked at didn't even have a chair to sit on I was sitting on the floor.

Disappointing
Site Access Guard (Current Employee) - Moranbah QLD - 16 May 2022
QLD Management are bullies and incompetent, staff are being pressured or even threatened when they report the truth regarding workplace issues. The crews are all quite good and get along well.

Highly Recommend
Maritime Security Guard (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 22 March 2022
They offer every possible opportunity to those who wish to learn more skills or upgrade existing skills. Sites are allocated to individual skill sets and training is provided wherever necessary. Opportunity for advancement to manager. Supervisor etc., if you wish every assistance is made available for the needs you have

Toxic and incompetent Management.
Static Guard (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 27 January 2022
Toxic work environment. Not an overly stimulating place to work. Easy to learn to site requirements. The company portal has courses available to help those new to the industry but they are not accredited and will not help further your career.
Pros
Plenty of downtime to do your own thing, Some colleagues are awesome people, most are imbeciles going with the flow, Most visitors and contractors attending the clients are a joy to work with.
Cons
Long hours, Managers are incompetent little bullies, Roster Coordinators don't know the legislation covering penalty rates, Roster Coordinators try to guilt you into covering overtime shifts.

2 jobs, 1 was terrible, the other ok.
Fifo Security (Current Employee) - Newman WA - 19 December 2021
MSS Security management do not care for you. Have talked to colleagues present and past and morale is last on the priority list at MSS. Revenue Protection is terrible, FIFO Security has been a better experience. I had to quit though as MSS Security contract managers don't like releasing you for another contract of the company's, they'd rather you leave the company as myself and others have had to do. Leave accrual and Superannuation are a joke. Had to work 7-8 months FT to accrue enough leave to take 1 week of dayshift paid in full in their FIFO contract. Super is only paid on first 38 hours of the week. I do about 80-90 hours a week then have a week off........ not so good for future me. What training? Expect the worst penalty rates too. None for FIFO and poor when I was a Revenue Protection Officer. Would not recommend this company.
Pros
Good FIFO roster and base rate (no penalties for FIFO)
Cons
Everything else about this company, seriously.

A company that looks after its people
Supervisor/Manager (Current Employee) - Sydney Central Business District NSW - 6 June 2021
From day one the company and its people have been nothing but professional with the way they have treated me. They have proved to me time and time again over past few years that's its staff come first.
Pros
Plenty of work, great office support.
Cons
Pay rate could be better.

A good CEO and company to work with. More opportunities they'll giving you. They assist you with everything you need to be settled in their company. HR is very accommodating in employees needs.

Best of an ordinary bunch
Security officer (Current Employee) - Western Australia - 16 January 2021
Like all security companies they are about bums on seats, they often dont put the right person in the correct position or location, which creates problems for the client, they really arent staff orientated and have no loyalty value ie after 5 yrs service you could resign and you wouldnt hear a thing from them like all the best in your new career or thanks for your service, you get nothing, no Xmas greetings from management, as long as they can put you in a position they're happy, whether its the right one or not is irrelevant. However they are the best paying company, slightly above the rest.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours

Please do not work here unless you have no other choice
Officer (Current Employee) - South Australia - 7 January 2021
This place is stuffed. Don't apply to work here unless you have no choice. They will make you casual or part time and if you get to work in healthcare, they will treat you like dirt. They will side with the clinical staff because the contracts are multi million dollar contracts. They never used to give proper breaks although this has improved recently. There are fewer welfare checks and they don't want you to leave site even if there's no bathroom!

Varies according to the site
Senior Security Officer / Night Manager - Corporate & University (Former Employee) - 570 Bourke St & Latrobe University - 14 October 2020
Horrendous H/O management, deceptive and exploitative. You are treated like cattle, shoved here and there, prodded, given only basic necessities, no respect, little regard and dispensed with when you are no longer useful to them or you dare to question their management practices.
Pros
Staff on the ground are mostly great people
Cons
Everything else

Terrible Management
Interviewer (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 16 June 2020
Management have ZERO background in security, I mean come on! What a joke! There are much better managers to work for, managers with real life experience and have their feet on the ground, unlike Music. Complete joke seriously! Stay away from this sinking ship of a company.
