Enjoyed my time with clients

A little bit unorganised in the beginning but a few changeovers in scheduling fixed this problem. Management were very helpful in rostering around school and child care

Shocking organisation to work for

Terrible management team that do not value their employees or clients for that matter. They do not take complaints in the workplace seriously and offer no support what so ever if you approach them for assistance. They do not offer permanent contracts so whether you’re employed with them for 4 weeks or 4 years you will remain on a casual roster, and if your availability doesn’t accomodate for them and their specific ever changing, needs your hours will simply be compromised. Travel allowance is required, however management have been getting away with not paying staff accordingly for their travel and sweeping it under the rug/cutting shifts when this was brought to their attention. They will not rectify any pay discrepancies and have a very unprofessional way of communicating and dealing with their employees and issues with in the workplace. Shocking management with rostering and communication is extremely poor. You will be expected to use your personal mobile phone to take work calls (which is quite often all day, everyday, including on your rostered days off) and when/if you don’t answer you will have your shifts cut. You will also be expected to use your personal vehicle to travel and although you may believe you are being compensated, in my personal experience this was not always the case. Shifts are inconsistent and many are only 20-30 minutes in duration, so when you do get shifts they don’t always necessarily pay off. Would not recommend working for this company if your life depended on it.

My Flex Training is a terrible organisation.

The owner Paul and senior management are repeatedly advised of bullying, harrassment and incompetent management. The accusers are pushed out and the bullies, especially the manager, are still there. Ask about their staff turn over, it's excessive! One manager yells at staff, makes horrible comments and is in over her head. The other is retired on the job.

Pros

Zero.

Cons

Worst management ever. Poor team morale. No care for health.

They need organisation

Office staff are friendly but unorganised. Lack communication skills between clients and support workers. Unable to ring Perth staff, after hours and weekends. Clients are supposed to be able to choose their support worker, but after a short time they move the staff somewhere else. The list goes on sadly.

too many staff, too little shifts

Most days I did not get any shifts, even after updating my availability ages in advance and being reliable. I think there are too many staff and there are not enough shifts for everyone.

Casual giveyou own hours available job

A roster would be emailed to me the night before. I would drive to the person/s home in the community, read their file and commence the service required within the given time listed on the roster. This could be personal car, domestic assistance, transport/ social. At the end of each roster I would add the Km travelled to the roster with any additional notes and email it back to the company for payment processing and information for the clients file. Independent work alone job with phone assistance provided by the office. Regular annual training provided by company. Office staff very supportive and friendly. The most enjoyable part of the job is spending time with the clients.

Pros

You set the time you work

Cons

no garentee of rosters when you are available.
