Good, but not the best.
Private NDIS Worker (Former Employee) - Inverell NSW - 12 June 2020
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI did my work privately for NDIS clients. It is a very demanding job and requires a lot of patience, understanding and communication. You have to be willing to really take care of othes (i.e showering, cleaning up after them, feeding etc.)

Very toxic workplace, where I was not able to retain my position as I didn't interview well.
Public servant (Former Employee) - Dubbo NSW - 20 July 2021
The interview, for my own position moving from Non-ongoing to On-going was set for failure. All participants were told after the interviews, by a director, that no-one interviewed well. This must surely reflect on the interview panel and the style of interview. I lost my position of 30 months, without ANY formal or written warning of poor results/work, to a system that than employed family members and people with no experience in the disability sector. I was the only person in the Remote and Rural LAC office based in Dubbo, with lived experience with a disability, the only person of Aboriginal heritage, the only person over 65.
Pros
The chance to be part of a scheme designed to improve the lives of those living with disability.
Cons
The fact I was NOT able to continue, following two and a half years instigating the rollout in Rural and Remote areas, especially Aboriginal communities.

Should be a good place to work
Data Business Analyst (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 23 December 2020
Most of my work was cancelled just before it was finished. It was exactly as asked for but the question changed before the answer was finished. People didn’t know quite what they wanted until you gave them what they asked for and they realised that was it. Very disorganised and disheartening.
Pros
Some good people to work with
Cons
Bad manager

Ndis
Access Officer (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 29 August 2020
Working for NDIS means alot to the participants in the scheme, unfortunately we have an amount in a pool that at most times we need to remove certain funds that the participants have said or LAC's have made mention the participants need to live an ordinary life. It's awful to remove items from funding as the participants know what they require each and everyday to live an ordinary life.
Pros
Salary

Last place you would want to work
FOI officer (Former Employee) - A.C.T. ACT - 12 March 2020
Looks like most of the management are has been's
with backwards ideas. Nepotism is ever present, as is mate to mate kind of environment The Department has been established to help to improve and manage disability, but that is the last thing on their mind.

Ndis
NDIS (Former Employee) - Preston VIC - 27 January 2020
Ndis was one of the most rewarding jobs I ever had. Working along side people with so much experience in the industry taught me so much about the lengths ndis is willing to take for those in need. It is a job that keep your heart full on a daily. I learnt so much and would always respect those in the industry for all their hard work.

Very rewarding
MENTOR/ Suport Worker (Current Employee) - Adelaide SA - 21 January 2020
I love working with my clients, it can be challenging work sometimes but its always worth it to see the improvements they make! The hardest part is sometimes encouraging the clients to get engaged in the work we are doing, as well as the inconsistency in shifts at times. It's an amazing place to learn patience and is a very rewarding job at the end of the day.

Very stressful and constantly changing
LAC (Former Employee) - Geelong VIC - 21 January 2020
Not happy overall, very stressful and demanding, Did not like the requirement for staff to achieve unrealistic key performance indicators on a weekly basis and the daily huddle, which was often over the top and disorganized.

productive
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 29 December 2019
good company, but can be pretty late on payment fairly often, and isn't as good pay. Especially since they don't cover a few costs, like fuel . time isn't rostered most of the time

Fast passed, stressful and continuous change
Senior Planner (Former Employee) - Werribee VIC - 4 December 2019
Great agency to work with but still teething. Needs more time to put the structure and overall running of the organisation together. Lots of changes and management need time to care about staff rather than the outcome/numbers.
