Lots of people taking sick days or taking advantage of the passive culture.
Manager (Former Employee) - Station Street, Penrith - 15 December 2022
Unfortunately, quite unprofessional culture. Staff and particularly senior management were often accused as bullies or of manipulative behaviour that was tolerated by executives. This is not a happy place to work in most departments. There were pockets of good people, however those were often overworked or not recognized.
Pros
Close to transport, can leave on time.
Cons
Unhealthy culture, lots of jobs for those who are in favour with managers rather than experienced in the job

Great opportunities to exercise innovation and collaborative approach to health services delivery
Program Officer - Nursing & Chronic Disease (Former Employee) - Penrith NSW - 9 August 2017
Chronic disease management (CDM) and effective utilisation of nursing in GP are crucial in tackling CDM. Management of both programs was very energising which called on co-operation, consultation and innovation of all parties concerned. Management was very supportive with some of the ideas and initiative I implemented including education and on-site support of the whole practice collectively. As a practicing RN I understood needs of nurses in GP. I was energised in empowering nurses to realise their potential in delivering quality health care
Pros
Was able to be innovative in providing education and support
Cons
Restrictive

Claims officer (Current Employee) - Sydney Western Suburbs NSW - 15 February 2016
Nepean LHD is a fun place to work in, I enjoy my role here and the learning is endless within a multidisciplinary team. The team makes learning fun and being able to review the different reports and assessments. There is also a opportunity to provide feedback on policy's and actions back to the director
