Fun job, with good discount but management played favourites and was not given equal opportunity
sale associate (Former Employee) - Burwood NSW - 23 October 2023
good job for retail, great discounts however there was a lot of favouritism and leniency with certain staff member whom were related or previous friends to management, got away with a lot more stuff then other people was given certain opportunities or raises. Even when hitting target goals and going above and beyond was not appreciated and shown as the same to others, very nice people just alot of favourites if you were related which majority staff were

Clean, easy job.
Casual (Former Employee) - NSW - 30 August 2023
Easy job in a clean environment. Management was dependent on the individual, some managers were good others not so much. Work place culture was the same way but most people were friendly. The hardest part of the job was communicating with customers. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to know my co-workers. Unfortunately there was extreme micromanaging to the point of discomfort, especially considering this is a basic retail level job.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Micro-managing

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 20 December 2022
Constant micro managing, depressing place to work, must clock in at least 15 minutes before shift time starts or 15 minutes of your pay will be docked, must *try to* clock in and out of breaks even though the computer may be in use to process sale - if you are over time then 15 minutes of pay docked too!, must only wear in season Nike activewear, really poor workplace culture with high school like cliques and disrespectful staff, must also complete Nike modules outside of paid hours, a small 30-35% staff discount despite Nike brand clothes + shoes head to toe to be worn, difficulty communicating with customers as the store I worked at was a FRANCHISE and returns from other or online stores are not accepted.
Pros
Made me grateful for the other jobs I have had

Great work culture, great workplace.
Athlete (Sales Associate) (Former Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 28 December 2020
I hated working retail, but Nike made it manageable. Right from the get go I knew it would be a great company to work for - the interview was professional, well-run and informative about the role. The induction day let you in on the company’s cultures and made you feel right at home, plus got you to bond with other new team members (they group hired) / meet current team members. Didn’t feel out of place at all from my first day there; everyone who worked there was super inclusive and lovely, staff discount rate is amazing and incentives are great.
Pros
Great culture, great team, staff discount (50%)
Cons
Retail (I hate it, you don’t have to)

People are great
SALES SPECIALIST (Current Employee) - South Wharf DFO VIC - 12 June 2020
Those who you work with are sometimes kind and sometimes enjoy ostrecizing others. Nike handled the Corona virus situation in their own best interest and left many casuals worse off because of it

Productive and a fun time
Sales Assistant (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 8 June 2020
Company culture is great as you are constantly surrounded by like minded inviduals who share the same passion and drive for sports. What I have learned during my time at Nike is that customers are always put first and information of a product must be given when a customer tries on a shoe for example. The hardest part of the Job is learning all the procedures and steps on running the technical side of things. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people who you work with as they have a similar passion and drive with you in terms of sport.

Retail Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 26 February 2020
Passionate about sport and this is the perfect place to work in an environment all about benefiting athletes.
I learned so much about the different benefits of each item of clothing and shoe styles.
I loved sharing my knowledge with customers while creating relationships with everyone who walked through the doors.
