Don’t work here if you are a citizen , you can do so much better , u get a dog sh**t pay of 20/21$ an hour , no bonuses , while I have to tip toe around the boss’s daughter which she gets paid 30$ something an hour and does eff all , a huge spit to the face, stop making the rich richer as the owner owns Obar&Dining and work somewhere else where they value you as a person and not a donkey dead brained slave
Pros
Good environment and friendly staff
Cons
Horrible “family”

Stunning view. Best spot in Sydney. Often understaffed and underpair. Huge staff turnover. All the staff who work there are often fun and act like a family.

I worked as a kitchen hand. The environment in kitchen was really bad. The leadership in kitchen was very bad. Lazy Leader who lacked creativity and professionalism. I quit the job because I didn’t see my future there.

You can develop your solving problem ability very easily so customers will enjoy being there. Long shifts and very tiring especially if you are male as you may end up carrying a lot of heavy stuff or if you're not a English native speaker its going to be really hard for you to get a promotion. A lot of the heavy tasks are not assigned in a balanced way, e.g: closing, running food, stock. Managers are nice as well as customers, it's a beautiful place to work. Good relationship with co-workers.
Pros
A free meal during break
Cons
Really tiring and demanding

Situation in the most scenic spot in Sydney, Opera kitchen was an amazing place to work. whether you worked the morning or afternoon shifts, you had fun. Typically, the nusiest parts of the day were between the hours of 8-11 am 12-4pm 6-11pm. You were always on your feet, rushing from one job to another, meeting and greeting customers and ensuring the restaurant was immaculate. Multi tasking was an absolute must have in this job aswell as a skip in your step and a smile on your face. The hardest part of the job was the heat as sometimes it would reach 30degrees plus. This was unbearable when wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt!! This never distracted from the job however, and the most enjoyable part of this job was definitely the meeting and greetinh the customers and working wth my colleagues.
Pros
Free food and drink and a bronzed face!
Cons
Hot hot hot!!!
